Nice! Could have needed a little more passes though ;-) I like the wrinkles on the cushions. How did you do them?

Why do people rip off this interior so often?

So it can get gradually worse and worse. Like dying perpetuum mobile. Because, fuck any sort of creativity...

It's like cannibalism, when people cannot get some outside influence ( because there aren't seven thousand architectural blogs..) but rather copy existing "artwork" within own discipline.

Anyway, this seems to be sensitive topic for too many people. Just putting my opinion here too, not interested in starting shitwreck of discussion.

Probably Rawalanche's "GR8 WORKZ" thread had too big impact.

AFAIK he ripped it off from some architect house whom then accused him of stealing it :) Then they sorted things out, and he pointed out it was just a heavy inspiration. I understand taking a layout, or room shape, or something, as an inspiration. But using same composition with very similar furniture...  that is quite unoriginal ;)

It is copy of polish MIMO ( http://mimostudio.pl/#!prettyPhoto ) studios work. They are foremost visualizers too, not architects.

On other hand, Matheus is honest and good guy and I think he didn't tried to smuggle it, just "forget" to mention inspiration.

Imho, outside of "western society" something as giving credit is quite unusual, and they see copying as almost akin giving respect to original author.
It is unnerving sometimes, because, I really don't care if someone does copy, but I think one should always be atleast honest, and mention CREDIT/Inspiration.

I am glad community sorts it out, atleast something interesting happens outside of the super-positive stuff.  Drama is so much better
