Just if anyone knows what would be an appropriate distance of absorption for swimming pool water? Should I give it slightly dark blue/green colour for a pleasing result?

Thanks

I doubt you will find hard numbers for that, instead think of it like this: get the max depth of your pool and ask what color you want the water to be at that deepest level and apply that color to absorption with said max depth.
There are too many factors to consider if you want to mimic reallife, particles amount, chlorine amount used, algae vs chlorine, and hell, the amount of pee while we are at it XD
It will be different for each shot and sunangle to what you want to achieve.

PS: absorbtiom distance will have to be a touch higher than max depth, because of diagonal angles, so I usually just eyeball it.
