I have downloaded the sample HDRIs from Peter Guthrie and I am trying to correctly load them in to C4D. Could someone please tell me if what I am doing is correct?

In project settings I disabled linear workflow and the input colour profile in order to enable the HDR gamma field within the material bitmap attributes. To get the colour to display correctly I had to use the following settings:

Exposure: -2.2
HDR Gamma: 2.2

I am using the photographic settings on my camera to control the brightness of the scene but I feel these are incorrect in order to achieve the proper brightness.

F-stop: 8
ISO: 100
Shutter speed: 2s

If anyone knows the correct method for C4D and Corona I would love to know - I try and follow Peter Guthries lesson for V-ray but it's not quite the same. Any help most appreciated!

I might be wrong, but here are the settings I used, which seem to produce the same result as in 3ds Max.

I deal with the same problem. When I set up linear workflow and the color profile disabled, the output is horrible :( Unfortunately, I never found instructions on how to set the color profile in C4D :(

We will soon start preparing basic articles for the C4D helpdesk, and all answers will be there. :)
I will also post the answer here as soon as I know it.

Wow Maru, those tuts would be marvelous. I was always teased by Corona, but never tried it out...now after trying out I'm addicted.
I'm not at home @ 3Ds Max so I guess I'm one of those who warmly welcome some simple tuts about Corona for C4D.

BTW I'm using A4.1. and it freezes up my system from time to time. Dunno if this occurs with me (I2600K 16gigs of ram) but I experience the same on another machine.
I just added a screenshot of a scene I'm working on...

A4.1 is already outdated. :)
You should definitely try with A5 once it's out.
