just in case anyone here has had similar problems I thought I would ask here.

we would like to animate the rotation of a hdr sky, to make a sort of timelapse effect, but we get a lot of flickering which looks like the overall light intensity is changing.

when we remove the keyframes from the hdr sky then the flickering is gone.

any ideas?

I have tried PT + PT (still problematic) and the next thing i will try is switching to a corona sun

How are you loading and animating the HDRI?

initially vrayHDRi but then tried corona bitmap loader with offset animated.

now have painted out the sun from my HDR and used a corona sun instead, which fixes the problem (i think!)

I just rendered out 2 320x240 animations with 10 passes, 100 frames, full 360 HDRI rotation with 2 different HDRIs and I do not see any flickering or exposure changes. Do you have any strongly reflective/refractive objects in the scene?

Hello,

I'm trying to render interior animation with animated HDRI (pg skies - 1444), but a problem appears, same as Peter Guthrie described.

The HDRI is loaded as CoronaBitmap in the enviro slot. We have searched for a solution through the corona forum, but nothing helped us.

Thanks in advance,
Best Regards,
Dilyan

Scene archive send via PM.
