Water looks fake and thwt wooden bridge feels like a deadly trap. Other than that, very nice image!

I would try to add slight anisotropy to water material, to stretch reflections toward viewer. And i would get rid of that blurriness in lower part of image - reflection almost certainly won't get blurry that much, if at all.

Water looks fine to me, it can definitely get like this. If I wasn't on CG forum, I would never question the realness of water, but the plants ;- ).

The blurriness in water is always more noticeable closer to lens, exactly how motion blur works.

Just a few notes. Love the reference, yet illustration still needs a lot to improve.
This is no simple scene to recreate, minimal though complex.
The obvious mistake is a non-consistent representation of reality, which in turn needs smaller differences, anomalies that are harder to compose:

Facts:
1. morning, breeze, low light conditions > long exposure + wide aperture = blur (for: waves on water, swaying plants / trees, moving fog)
2. fog over body of water is thicker at source (over water) and thinner above, as light makes it brighter from above so is ground albedo making it darker near the ground
3. probably a fine tuned post process using depth pass and luminosity mask will be needed to achieve better contrast in perceived perspective
4. less saturation & contrast on plants
5. some debris, leaves, twigs near & round the bridge

Photo shows 2/3 are a body of water to emphasize the calm, mild wake into the wonder of occupant life, reflecting slightly blurred as memories... in the end one wonders:"Who lives here? Will i ever meet them? Are they gone?" Winter is near by. No birds on the pond. Natural still life.

Just a penny of my thought

Don't think it has something to do with MB. It looks like author had tried to add DOF in post, but as it was many times discovered in this forum already - water reflection should stay in focus in such scenario.

I meant in reality. I know he hasn't used motion blur to make the effect, it seems combination of lens blur and material setting.

somehow the very first version looks more realistic and natural for my eyes, imho
i would decrease saturation a bit despite of overcast lightning, as there cant be that powerful color gradients around the fooliage that way in that way of light
