It turned out so that i had a couple of hours to practise out new methods.

This is what came out in the end.

Rendertime 30 min at 8 Double procesor X5630.

As a side question, are you satisfied with the performance of those xeons ? How high does a slave with two of those score in Cinebench r15?

Most probably it is Maru, i belive 3ds somehow read my mind. XD

But speaking seriously i failed to deal with subsurface\absorbtion balance. And placing bue collor for the absorption (actualy not only blue) on the high values (10000mm in this scene) causes very wierd things to happen. Or may be i just had not enough time for testing and i liked this amber collor i got very much (most probably because i have not drank proper beer for too much time since i have been to Prague last time...)

As a side question, are you satisfied with the performance of those xeons ? How high does a slave with two of those score in Cinebench r15?

Don't know about the Cinebench but we still think that these xeons are best of price\quality for now.
