Got some time to work on a little side project, its based on an image i saw of a diamond like shaped house in a forest. It is in its early stages, still trying to decide if i like the composition and lighting. The models are more like placement holders to fill the space i want them to use. I want to suspend the building from the trees rather than use stilts. Might not be realistic in build but thought it might look cool.

Some feedback on composition and lighting would be cool.

p.s the cat rig was just in there for tests.

The idea is interesting (I do not recall anything like it), but the aggressive post processing is completely pointless here. It makes the image look like an over-processed game screenshot. You should first decide on composition, camera placement, etc, and then add effects.
My idea would be to try with straight vertical lines (camera correction) - although perspective distortion might also add some suspense to the image (vertigo-like feeling).
The "house" is also not symmetrical, so maybe it would make sense to extend the area of the view in the direction where the "beak" is pointing. It could add depth.
With a camera angle like this, it will be also very hard to see what is inside, so either you would need to render a few shots from different places, or... make the floor transparent? :)

this is raw from max. the others just had some blur and CC play abouts. I've got the rays in there because that is also part of something i was wanting to play with and use, though they may be a bit too strong right now. still find the volumetric a bit confusing.

i haven't corrected verts because that current shape of the treehouse looks even more crazy. I suppose i should design the treehouse part properly then continue with composition and lighting.
