For a while now, I noticed if u try bluring a displacement map connected to corona material. It does not reflect in the render  but it renders fine if a displacement modifier is used. I am using Corona A6. Is there a workaround for this?

These things are very different in the newer versions, so it might be pretty tricky.

How are you blurring it? Using the "blur" parameter in map's settings?
Corona's displacement and max's displacement modifier are two completely different things.
One solution I see would be baking the map and blurring it in some other software (which you probably want to avoid ;) ).

Yeah, with the blur parameter in the bitmap node in the material editor.

Thanks. I would have to use the displacement modifier then. I am handpainting the displacement map. Viewport Canvas has filters which include blur. So u can use filters right inside 3dsmax without using another software.
