Hey guys,

I've just installed Corona 1.3 on Max 2016.
Corona Converter and Corona Proxy Exporter commands are missing in right click menu.
It's working fine on Max 2014.Any tips about this?

Hmm, did you have 1.2 installed before?

Does this file exist on your computer?
Code: [Select]
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2016\scripts\Startup\CoronaRenderer_InitScripts.ms
Is it appearing after another max restart?

I've installed 1.3 directly on 2016.
Upgraded from 1.2 on 2014 which is fine atm.
It's not appearing on restart.Tried different UI's but no luck.
And yes "CoronaRenderer_InitScripts.ms" exists.

It would be great to find the cause of this, but here is a manual fix:
Go to customize > customize user interface > quads > category: Corona Renderer, you should see light converter and proxy exporter on the list, you can just drag it into the quad menu.

Hm, I cannot reproduce it here - everything installing fine. I read this correctly: it's your first install for 2016?

could it be the case that i installed version 1.4 and then reverted to 1.3?

well, 1.4 doesn't have an installer so exchanging dlls is not a problem as it doesn't have an influence on the scripts. The menu entries and scripts are managed by the CoronaRenderer_InitScripts.ms and a .ini file somewhere in your appdata. So if you aren't messing with them it should all be fine and work as expected. Only thing I could imagine is some strange order of installations and uninstalls which messed up the ini somehow, but I don't know how you could achieve this ;)

I remember the entries disappearing for me too, and currently I have them duplicated 3 times, but I am doing a lot of strange things with the installation files so I cannot provide anyone with any sensible info.

Yes thats correct.First install on 2016.
I didn't mess with .ini files or something.
Tonight I'll make  clean max 2016-Corona 1.3  install at home pc  and see what happens.
Thanks for help
Cheers

I'd suggest to do the following first:
1) uninstall Corona for 2016
2) start up max, close max
3) install corona again
4) start max and look if the menu items are there

Uninstalling max will probably not make a difference unless you also delete the ENU folder with all the inis that hold your settings ( C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2014 - 64bit\ENU )

Hi again,

1.Uninstalled Corona with "CoronaRemove"
2."CoronaRenderer_InitScripts" was not removed from scripts/startup folder so i deleted manually
3.Started up and closed max
4.Installed Corona again
5.Corona proxy Exporter and Corona Converter dissapeared again from quad menu.

No, you mustn't remove the CoronaRenderer_InitScripts file. It's doing some cleanup when you start max after you've uninstalled corona. If you remove it, the ini will remain in an "installed" state and a re-install will not add the menus.
