Hi,

Sometimes the render elements are blank or not saved after rendering finished.
Most of the time I have to double check after rendering is done and save the files manually.
In terms of blank file I mean the files are there but the size is small and when I open them in PS they are blank white.

Using 3ds max 2012 / corona 1.3 / Deadline / windows 7 / 32 Gb memory

When rendering I use DR with 3 to 10 nodes overnight and saving to a network location.
I render high resolution images from 5 to 10 K or even higher if needed.

Vray saves files with no problem so I dont think it is a network issue.
Any ideas?

Hi, have you already contacted Deadline support?

According to my knowledge this could be a problem of:
-Deadline (although I am not familiar with it, not sure if it has anything to do with render elements, or only manages the tasks?)
-very high resolution (can you try with lower res? like 640x480, does it also happen then?)
-max 2012 - it is known to have some problems which do not appear in the newer versions

Can you show us:
-Corona DR logs - content of DrData on the slave where DrServer is running - here is how to get them: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000501666
-BB logs (it is not used directly, but is required for DR to work): http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-find-and-analyze-your-backburner-error-logs.html

It would be best to remove the content of DrData and BB logs, then run unsuccessful rendering again, and then send the freshly-created logs.

Deadline is used for better node management. (BB used in the past but not anymore)
I use Deadline to grab a few nodes from the pool so I think it has nothing o do with saving anything. (but not 100% sure)

I think we did not see this issue with smaller renderings or regions.
I try to send a log file as soon as possible.

Thanks,
