go to scripts maxscripts and it takes you to the max scripts folder, look for the corona folder and run the converter

romullus: how can i convert it? any converter suggestions?

Converter comes as macroscript with Corona now. You can access it via quad menus. Right click anywhere in viewport and in right lower menu quadrant you should find Corona Converter option.

If it's not there, it will be in 3ds max root/scripts/CoronaRenderer

Instead of converting Standard materials to Corona material, you can simply use Laubwerk Corona materials - and then tweet them if needed. It's easy and most likely much better than any converted Standard material.

That's strange. I can't remember that i put it there manually, i think it got installed with one of Corona installers. I may be wrong, though.

You can put converter in quad menu (or anywhere else) by yourself via customize user interface. Usefull if you used it quite often.

also would be nice if the converter showed the bitmaps on the objects after conversion, all turns white after

You should report in converter topic if you found any problems with it: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,126.0.html

The problem of Laubwerk plugin freezing 3ds Max has been recently solved by Laubwerk developers. Please see the following report for more details:
https://corona-renderer.com/bugs/view.php?id=1144

You can download and test the newest beta version of the Laubwerk plugin using the link below, however keep in mind that any problems or bug reports should be sent to Laubwerk, not to us:
