Hey nice to see you selling stolen models yet again! Speaking of which, will you already give me my refund and mods, why has this guy not been banned yet?

These baskets and flowers look familiar? http://3dsky.org/3dmodels/show/diekor_dlia_sanuzla_polotientsa_i_niezabudki

Nice looking flippers you got there, kinda like these: http://3dsky.org/3dmodels/show/novoghodniie_tapul_ki

Yeah I could go on all day long and I bet 90% of the stuff is stolen from others. Just to clarify to those not up to date, I say stolen because right now this guy is selling this scene on his website, the URL of which I won't mention here.

Hey vkiuru,
could you try to solve your problems with this guy by other means. I don't think that Corona forum is the right place to do so. I can understand your frustration, but it looks like your current methods won't help. I think by now most of forum visitors know that it's unsafe to buy from Polyviz, and i will take care that any links to illegal content would be deleted ASAP.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

Well, he is selling his scenes consisting of stolen property prepared to be rendered with Corona so I think at this point with his business practice known, allowing him to promote his work on the forum with or without a link to the store, as long as the store in it's current state exists, is the same as turning a blind eye. So I'd say it's very much a topic tied to the forum but what conclusions are drawn are entirely up to the moderators and may or may not reflect on Corona. I'm sure majority of the users here won't notice or care in the slightest (yeah, he produces very nice looking renders and I'd enjoy them if the context was different) just as I'm sure many of the people who spent their time creating those models he is taking advantage of aren't all that happy.

That said, to be frank I'm not really using any "methods" trying to get him to refund what he owes me; 30 or so euros won't make a difference and it is fully apparent this guy has no problems ignoring any moral codes let alone copyright laws so I wouldn't really bother trying - I'm just using a given opportunity to wave a friendly "hi" to him every chance I get. But since you asked I'll ignore the guy from here on.

than constantly reminded about it, better to make a good design from scratch.
Try, for example, to build itself design and models of all the furniture in your interior///
include decorations,books,flowers, and etc/
Or exterior view include bushes, trees, flowers,  peoples and etc////
Using textures and patterns from different resources also forbidden???

PS/ Tables, sofas, chairs is always the same, and similar to each other /four legs and a seat for convenience/
As try here to invent something new
in terms of design////

I don't think so - he is a public person. But for sure you have to get permission from photographer who took this picture.

It's like music.  You can't sample even a small piece of someones music and then use it to make money in another song without paying royalties.

You have no right to sell any models or textures with your scene that you didn't create yourself, unless you have a deal for paying royalties with the producer.  Period.  It's simple.

That being said, the scenes on his site are very nice and the lighting, composition and post work are some of the best I've seen.  He is an extremely talented at those aspects, but obviously chooses to fish for models to populate a scene rather then building them from scratch.  It's like creating marketing material for a client and using clipart instead of drawing in illustrator each piece.  If it's not royalty free clipart, you can get your client into trouble for using it without license.  Very poor business practice.

Polyviz would be better to use his talents to produce training videos and supplementing them with the working files just being the blank scenes without the copyrighted assets, but with the lighting and render setup.  I think you would be okay to also include .PSD files of the finished renders including the assets  to show your workflow for post processing that particular scene.  All in all I think this is just as valuable, without the liability.

Or, you need to be like Bertrand Benoit and sell scenes which are 100% of your own making.

I hope you get it sorted out and can make money the right way.  The renders are amazing.  Good luck.

I'm sorry, I won't touch the subject but I have to try and correct this so there is no misunderstanding of what I was ranting over - denisgo22, the problem here is he is taking objects that others have modeled with the intention of earning a part of their living with them, and he is selling them as his own. Imagine for example someone buying Peter Guthries HDRIs and starting a website selling them as his own for a lower price - you do understand that would be illegal, as Peter owns the rights to his HDRIs? It's the same case here.

And with this explained best as I could in a hurry, I'm out of the thread and won't intrude again.

The thing I hate the most in your renders is that they look so good. ;)

I hate to say It but some of your works are really awesome.

i would just love to see 3dsky to follow the rules too, what i mean is 3dsky accept everytday many stolen models, some of them are just a bit modified... so taking on 3dsky exemple is not a good choice mate... 3dsky is the Paradise of stolen models!
