Old post now ... should be closed ;)

And for me - using only one animated cam usually anyway- it is straightforward to animate the material at the frame it should change. Just a matter of perception, thus I also see your point :)
Ahhh the eternal debate about multiple points of view using one animated camera VS multiple cameras using a btach render solution ;) on my side, batch render all the way, I've always found this solution much more flexible ...  at least for my needs. Both solutions have their pros/cons, so I guess it's tricky to make everyone happy.

Tweaking the Object Properties is global

You could do it material based by piping your ceiling material through rayswitch and connecting the original material and the rayswitch material to the incredible useful Corona select material. Then press autokey, go to some frame, change material in Corona select material and you have a frame where the object is not visible, but casts shadows. All you need to do is render that one cam at another frame.

Good Luck
Interesting approach, Frood, thanks for sharing ;)
But I still think it's not as straightforward as the per-camera approach. Let's keep the user-friendly philosophy of Corona ... let's handle simply something that can be done simply :)

Hello Romullus :)

I'm sorry I didn't see this had already been requested.
Ok, that's a pity. Nothing crucial here though.

[Max] Feature Requests / Slate / Edit Bitmap

Hello :)

Would it be possible to make Corona Bitmap compatible with Edit Bitmap feature available with a right-click on a standard 3dsmax bitmap, please ?
I mean, in Slate Preferences, we can define our Bitmap Editor Path, so that when we right-click on a bitmap node in Slate's view, than hit Edit Bitmap, it directly launches our favorite bitmap edition app (PS, Affinity Photo or whatever). I was recently lost not seeing this Edit Bitmap option anymore, before realizing I was simply right-clicking on a Corona Bitmap, and not on a 3dsmax standard bitmap ...

Thanks in advance,

Really amazed by the new sky system ... great, great job, guys !!

Ok for the menu, but please, don't remove the toolbar :)

Hello :)

I sort of jump into this thread to share an opinion about batch editing imaging with CIE. I think this method doesn't match the Corona philosophy ... user-friendly, simple, straight-forward, but powerful nonetheless. Do you guys have plans to propose a GUI for batch editing images with the CIE ? it would be amazing to fine-tune an image in the CIE, and then call batch editing from a simple menu, aim a folder where the images to edit are saved, set a few options, and go !
Despite the fact I'm old enough to have known DOS commands time as a daily stuff, I think command line things should stay something from the past ;)

Well, my 2 cents :P

The Substance in 3ds Max plug-in has a lot of room to improve,
[...] For now I'm just happy it's working at all
Yes, I agree on those points ;)

Well, some weirdness happening here ... I restarted 3dsmax, and now Substance to Corona works again with multiple materials indeed, I prefer that.
However, I still think Batch Import could do both: loading .sbsar files in Substance nodes in the material, AND generate Corona material, all that in one go. Yeah, I'm a bit lazy for these things :D Maybe I should post that on the Substance plugin.

Ok, I did the Complete installation.
On a side note, I think Substance should go further with Batch Import ... I mean, we have to use Batch Import, which creates Substance nodes with the proper materials, and then we have to select each material, for finally click on the Substance To Corona function in Substance menu. It's not even able to work on multiple Substance maps in one go :( Or am I missing something ? this should be much more straight forward IMO: Batch Import to Corona, and Substance nodes are created along with Corona materials, and voilĂ  :P

Hello cjwidd,

I find it a bit slower than the previous version, but it's maybe just a feeling. I've tested quickly with a few Source materials, seems ok so far, but I'll have to test a bit more. Batch import seems ok as well.
Out of curiosity, do you uninstall previous version before install the new version, or do you simply install the new version over the old one ?

Added a post in Rowan's thread:

2.3.2 is live
Oh, nice, thank you for the information :)

Hmmm, well, not so nice here finally ... in Substance Settings, Memory Budget and CPU Cores Limit don't show any number, and clicking Open Dialog for Renderer Compatibility doesn't seem to do anything :(
I guess I'll post something on Substance forums this time !
