On a specific file I have, Corona crashes when using interactive render. Corona is working fine with other files. What can I do to solve the issue?

[Max] General Discussion / Hot to bake lightmix
« on: 2019-07-31, 17:26:18 »

in the Corona C4D manual in this page:

There's this part: "In particular, raising the intensity of a light by an extreme amount may introduce noise in the image - if this happens, baking the new values into the scene and re-rendering can often give better results."

I don't know how to bake the new values and re render. So please, can someone tell me how can I bake the values and re-render?

Thanks in advance..

[C4D] General Discussion / Occlude other Lights

In a Light Material there is the option to Occlude Other Lights.

What does this option do?

[C4D] General Discussion / Denoising Rest (unassigned)
« on: 2018-05-04, 15:51:01 »

Is it possible to Denoise the Rest (unassigned) LightMix channel?

In the Corona Image Editor once I hit Custom Denoise I can't see the option to tick the Rest (unassigned) LightMix channel.

Thanks in advance

[C4D] General Discussion / Interactive Lights and Instance
« on: 2018-04-23, 21:54:57 »

I'm wondering if instances are compatible with interactive lighting setups. In this case for example, in my LightMix, I 've got the extrude which responds to changes in the LightMix but the instance of the extrude responds to changes in Rest (unassigned) unless I add the instance to the LightSelect.

Is there a way to only place the master symbol or geometry in the LightSelect and then all instances would follow the changes made to the master symbol?

I want to do this because it is quicker for me to only select my master symbol in my LightSelect instead of selecting all of my instances and placing them in my light select.

If one converts the materials in a scene from Cinema 4D materials into Corona Materials is there a difference in the time something takes to render or the time it takes for the parsing to be finished?

Does Corona for C4D support axonometric views?

[C4D] General Discussion / Background Image Plate

Is the C4D's Background Image Plate supported in Corona?

I've got this error messages on a couple of renders. What's happening, how can I solve this issue?

Scene bounding box is too large, some shading artifacts may occur.
Scene bounding box is (minX minY minZ maxX maxY maxZ): -2.02073e+22 -416758 -2.02073e+22 129938 2.02073e+22 18761.9

It would be awesome if Corona could provide a preview of shadows Corona lights produce in a scene via Open GL.

This would work when a scene is very large and parsing takes too long making the interactive renderer unusable. Via open GL one could work with shadows in a precise way and be sure where are they going to appear once the scene is rendered.

[C4D] General Discussion / Corona Sun Open GL Preview
« on: 2018-04-05, 17:26:38 »

I have a Corona sun and I would like to preview the shadows it produces in Open GL.

Firing the interactive renderer is not an option because the parsing stage takes too long (I'm working on a large and complex file)

Can anybody tell me how can I preview the Corona sun's shadows in Open GL... or maybe how to recreate the shadows a Corona sun would produce with a Cinema 4D light.

Thanks in advance.

What does one need to do in order to enable shadows (of a Corona Light) in Cinema 4d's Viewport when having Enhanced OpenGL activated?

I manage to do it with a C4D Light but not with a Corona Light.

As you can see in my two screenshots, one has a Corona light and the other C4D Light... I can't manage to turn on a preview of the shadows the Corona will produce in C4D's viewport with Enhanced OpenGL.

Is it possible to preview the shadow of a Corona Light in the viewport?

A hand would be much appreciated!

Hi all,

I'm using Cinema 4d's Take system in order to batch render many images.

On Cinema 4d's Picture Viewer I'm able to see all of my rendered images but in Corona's VFB I only see the last rendered image.

Is there a way to tell Corona to save all of the images rendered in the History of Corona's VFB?

I would like to leave my computer rendering all night and come the next day to play with my LighMix, not only of the last rendered image but with all of them.

I know I can save or export my images from Cinema's picture viewer but in the picture viewer I can't play with LightMix...

Is there a way to make this happen or am I just asking nonsense?

[C4D] General Discussion / Render Selected Objects
« on: 2018-03-14, 15:38:02 »
How does one do to render only selected objects?

Beginner in Cinema 4d and in Corona...

I guess this problem is occurring due to the fact that my floor has a Cinema 4d material and the frosted glass on the door is a corona material...

The reflection from the outside of the door is being reflected on the floor..instead it should be reflecting the frosted glass.

I will render again to see if this is the problem. I hope it gets solved..

Bu is it's a problem it would be nice that one could use a Cinema 4d material combined with a Corona material in this case...
