[C4D] General Discussion / Re: Octane X
« on: 2021-04-27, 03:30:34 »
I've got Octane X running on my iMac Pro 2017 using the built in AMD GPU. But honestly, Corona is just a nicer all around experience. Much easier to use. And rendering with Octane - on my setup at least - is really not any faster.

I'm still loving Corona.

This still seems to be the case.

I'm using the most recent Daily Build, and the interactive viewport, and interactive rendering both ignore the display tag. It renders properly in the picture viewer. But pretty difficult to work with it if both interactive views don't hide the object when I've got display set to 0%

The most recent Daily Build seems to have done the trick :)
Thanks!!

Thank you very much Jan!

I am using R23.110 so I will take a look at the Daily Build.

C4D R.23 is crashing when I start up the program.

Not every time, but often. I'd say, about 1 out of every 3 or 4 start ups, it crashes.

I sent the crash report to Maxon, and they are blaming the Corona plugin.

Here's my set up -
Corona Renderer 6
C4D R23
macOS BigSur 11.1
iMac Pro (2017)
Processor: 3.2 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon W
Memory: 32 GB 2666 MHz DDR4
Graphics: Radeon Pro Vega 56 8 GB

Any ideas?

I'm using C4D R19 on Mac.
Installed Corona Ver. 6
Now the Interactive Window won't close once it's opened.
I need to restart C4D to get rid of it.
And when the Interactive Render Window is open, it only shows a portion of the image.
I need to use the slider bars to see the whole image.
See attached.
