Gallery / Contemporary Residential Building

Hi, I’d like to share one of my latest projects.
It’s a multi-family building that will be built in northern Italy. Apart a building in the foreground (the orange one), everything you see is 3D (even the ugly pink building behind the villa).
For this project I wanted to experiment with an autumn atmosphere! Max + Corona + Forest + Floor Gen (for the cladding) + Magnific.

Hi, vantage live link suddenly stop working, I've already re installed both Corona and Vantage but nothing happens. The issue appears also with a blank scene!
Only changes to my config/software is Chaos Phoenix (installed after Vantage).

[Max] Resolved Bugs / CoronaSky Volume effect affect Background visibility under horizon

Hi,
if I use CoronaSky as scene environment (overriding max environment) with the volume effect on the background image, put in the direct visibility override slot, appears with the part below the horizon as gray, if i uncheck the volume effect, the part below the horizon appears correctly. Is this correct? There is no way to use the volume effect on the geometry without affecting the background image?

During rendering there is the time stamp both in Beauty pass and in CInfo render element.
I save the file in cxr file format, opening the file in CIE I can see all render element but not CInfo.

Hi,
i can't find the CInfo_RenderStamp in a saved cxr file, the render elements is present during rendering both in Beauty render pass and in CInfo_RenderStamp, but it doesen't appear in the saved cxr.
The render stamp option in rhe system tab (render steup) is checked.

[Max] Feature Requests / Noise Level enhance

Hi,
it'll be useful to exclude some object from the noise level computation for example the background (Corona Sky or HDRI) or an object (a background plane).
When the scene have a great part of this element in the composition (sky) the noise level value cleans up quickly but the noise level of the geometry is still high.
I'll usually use pass limit but the choice of the number of passes is empirical. Even further will be fantastic to assign a default noise level target (building) no noise level (sky) and a custom noise level for some object (grass that has noise because is a fine detailed object and add extra time to rendering).

Hi,
I've another isuue with decals: if apply a decal to a plane (so no tickness) or to a box with a light material (emit light on) applied to the decal brings very long parsing time and, sometimes, out of RAM message (64 Gb onboard) or stuck system.

I've got 64 gb of RAM.
I've first a warning message that I'm running out of RAM and later the render stops with an error something like "Corona can't allocate 1.2 Mb of RAM etc.."

PS Corona 8 still crash under max 2014 so I'm running under 2017, I managed to install Corona 7 for Max 2014 and Corona 8 for Max 2017 and 2020

Hi!
I'm going out of RAM scattering a decals over two surfaces: the first one is asphalt (Chaos Cosmos Material) and the second one is a grass plane (with scattered grass).
The decals material is a texture of fallen leaves that has Albedo, Bump, roughness and Displacement texture.
I've set 1000 instances, but I run out of RAM quickly during displacement computation! Same if I scatter the decals over asphalt and not over the grass plane. The only way to render is to avoid to place the decals over the (scatterd) grass.

Hi,
I've installed Corona 8 RC2, it works under max 2017 and 2014 but I can't load scenes made with Corona 7 Hotfix 1 in max 2014 anymore,
max is crashing. Works fine in 2017 opening 2014 scenes.

Same issue with RC3. In max 2014 I can merge a Corona 7 HF1 scene into a new one and it works (no crash and I can render), but if I save the new file (Corona 8 RC3) and I try to reopen in 2014 max crashes. have anyone this problem?
