When texturing imported daz models with the daz texture assets (all maps with correct uvw) ...everyting is fine if placed in the normal corona material.

But if I use the skin shader...the uvw is off a bit (example..the nipple texture is off its "base" a little bit)

I noticed that too with lips and face textures or if you use SSS option it turns black on small parts even if you decrease the size of each SSS option using the skin material

I noticed something with shadows, I wasn't able to use shadow catcher with an HDRI cause the landscape plane wasn't doing it so I used a corona sun to create shadows and it was working with beta 1 on this one shadows aren't rendering anymore and I noticed also that some materials that has an opacity mask takes a long time to make a preview of the material just like what it was happening in beta 1

Seems like shaders previews look a bit weird they sometimes load normal but after a few minutes turns to this:

Thank you, I've been trying to do it in a more realistic way but I can't still looks a bit 3Dish, what you mean capped it? I downloaded Houdini once couldn't understand how to use it I have to sit down for awhile and see how everything works but I;m doing that with Corona now so I guess it will have to wait so that I can be focus on just houdini, I'm waiting for some geometry to finish saving and I'll upload a render of how the landscape looks and the the two type of setups I used.

I have like a setup of skies with C4D lights and HDRI's, I know how to setup the HDRI's but the Sun I can't seem to put it in the same position and intensity as the C4D sun light I have is there a way to convert the C4D light to a Corona light with the same values without me trying to re-do the whole position and intensity or better said guessing which one it is?

Thank you!!! tho I had Anisotropy in 0.5 cause is the default but still get like parts with water like reflections so I'm trying to make it more like this http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qYcHPB1Q3oo/VUfjl8_nctI/AAAAAAAAB2c/82Y6VNqqG3Y/s1600/Corona_Displacement_06.jpg

I didn't render this textures I have height map same 8 bit the one in the material is a black and white from the original texture to make the bump, I use the height map to make the displacement on a Relief object with 1000 segments, world machine is pretty cool to work with you can create whatever you want like you said is not the fastest so I decided to leave alone for awhile till the have a faster version cause it takes a long time to make the texture maps, this is what the pack has btw to me this landscape looks too 3D and like a cartoon which I don't want

How much reflection did you use? seems like the light bounces more

I've been looking around to see how much reflection is needed for terrain/landscapes made with World Machine, when I render there's like water reflections or water spots, try to find a shader or something to recreate but can't find anything, wondering if you guys can help
this is how I have it set up

Well thank you for the input, either way I can't afford a new pc with better qualities but I did find a solution for the issue, pc is rendering fast again, even faster than what I was getting before or even the benchmark thing, seems like windows saves a lot of crap on the pagefile of the system which is the virtual memory and when c4d crashes or corona everything that it was rendering stays there and won't clear up, I was seeing something was wrong cache wise and I dig over the internet and found that f you make the pc to clear up the pagefile things goes back to normal cause there's no crap resting endlessly in that cache file anymore

9
I don't know like I said 8 gb cause I changed the RAM, it did came with 4 gb with the first scene was doing the same in both pc's and the first one was a simple scene 2 daz figures and a small plane floor

10
Well I don't know, is a toshiba which usually means shit pc but again e other one was an acer with a similar processor and same ram 8 gb and it was kinda the same speed doing rendering, I did the C4D benchmark and it was a low score I think don't remember but that one didn't took this long, took like 15 min doing the rendering test, I'm thinking drivers, what you mean by small?

Benchmark results

I Did the material portal still was a bit slow and the scene and window got darker a bit, now I'm waiting for the benchmark to finish but I gave up on the scene I'm gonna try to make another or try without SSS
Benchmark so far:

13
Thank you, thought was the scene but now I don't know just know that it's not doing what is supposed to I guess, I have nothing installed like things to make pc faster nor anything like that just cinema, daz 3d, itunes and chrome, windows isn't a pirate version I don't think virus, I search for those same articles and still no idea on how to apply it, sorry but this one seems a bit complicated since never use it

14
Not sure, it's been doing this, so I don't know what it is, so I made the scene bigger now I'm confused about what to do with the material portal

15
Ok I'm gonna try later cause rendering is now fast again so I'm gonna take advantage of it, second I don't understand how to or what to put in the portal material or what to do with it, still makes me curious about how the render does the slowing down after a few renders cause now its working again
