[Max] I need help! / hdri intensity
« on: 2017-05-10, 21:58:12 »
hi, is the a way in corona to control the hrdi intensity multiplier and inverse gamma like in vray with vrayhdri map?

ive used the vray hdrimap, balanced all my camera and lights, then realized i dont have vray on my render nodes so it wont render. i dont really want to be adjusting my camera settings again. so, is there another option?

thanks

Hi all, another quick shader test scene to show from today.

Main aim of this one was the  suede on the sofa. Not 100% happy with it. I feel the fall off is pretty much there, however the bump definitely needs some work.

maybe its the table that's too high? Something is definitely off scale wise on that first shot to my eye.

love the wood plank material, in the second shot.

The thirst shot is a bit bland. Add props, dirt etc... it all looks too pristine.

The scale of the seat of the HAY chairs is WAY off.

Thanks Synolog, I have tweaked the metal shader in the image below. Also updated my 'standard' fabric material shown on the new chair.

LOVE IT!

Only slight crit would be the camera. If it were me I would lower the camera and angle it up a touch.

Having the camera high and looking down makes the space feel very low.

On a side note, I see you used a PG sky. What settings in the bitmap output and import settings did you use for this. I find his skies to be massively over exposed. I have to drop the RGB output to about 0.01 - 0.05 to get a similar result to the vizpeople hdri I normally use.

Upon second look, maybe tone down the contrast overall a touch too. Just my opinion though.

Nice work! All the images are a touch too high contrast for me. Nothing a bit of Photoshopping won't fix:-)

Lovely soft lighting. Overall very nice renders.

The red chair fabric and the rug stand out to me as being flat, they could most definitely do with some work. Other than that, great work.

Good work! The ketchup and burger looks awsome! However the tomatoes, radish and onion really let it down, the tomatoes especially.

Hi all,

I've got another shader test to share with you all.

This scene was set up for me to test a new 'Wall Paint' and 'Black Paint' (chair frame) shader.

I spent quite a while working on the micro details for both of these. I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

Any feedback and crits are welcome.

lacilaci - what would you suggest with the post? I have done very little post on these so far. Just a simple LUT.
