A New Development Project in Berlin Built Around and for the Community

While working on this project, the client's primary goal was to demonstrate how the building transforms the urban landscape. Despite the constrained circumstances and limited space, the architects aimed to create more green areas, encouraging residents to spend more time outdoors.

The visualizers' task was centered around these points. The architectural solution breathes new life into an unremarkable street without dominating the surrounding ensemble. We strived to convey a harmonious atmosphere of tranquility and urban dynamism.

This new project's CGI created for the next stage of residential development for a historical and unique district in Tallinn – Noblessner.
The history of Noblessner started in 1912 when Imperial Russia's submarine shipyard was established here. Within the last 5 years, it has been transformed from a restricted industrial area into a human-friendly marina district. The historical architecture of Imperial shipyards harmonically combined with the marina and new real estate developments.

5 new buildings will be raised just in front of the berth.

It was very tempting to play a bit with the weather and view angles, so we have created a series of non-commissioned visuals based on this beautiful location and property.

We were tempted to play with one of our commercial projects and create this artwork.
Perfect location of the office building with the old town of Tallinn in the background led to a scene when the old and new naturally merged into a beautiful composition.
Full 3D – including the old town – gave a possibility to play with the sun shooting its beams through low, gloomy Nordic sky. Sunlight pervades throughout the old town and office building. Rays cut through windows of the building, turning everything – interiors and glass facade – to gold.

Software: 3Ds Max, Corona Renderer, RailClone and a featherlight touch of Photoshop.

Nice work guys.
Well, actually it is Grass Concrete Paver  parking solution  - grass covered with the concretes cells. But yeah, youre right lots of drivers in Tallinn still needs to learn parking rules. ))) Thanks for your kind words! Keep up!  😊

Vabriku residential complex has its character and modern architectural touch. In collaboration with architectural bureau and real estate agency, we created these property visualization for the residential marketing campaign. The aim was to make it realistic and simple yet to be accepted by the community by using locally well known and recognizable symbols. Property CGI is a crucial sales tool for future housing developments, and even simple-looking pictures require a lot of research in many aspects, including local subculture and maybe even neighbourhood legends.

Gallery / Dental clinic design CGI and VR tour

Got creative with this space – a dental clinic in Tallinn. The customer asked for a complete interior design solution. With special attention for the ceiling, he brought some references and desire to play with the idea of a toothbrush. For testing the solution and better understanding of the space, we took some effort to produce a VR copy of the room. That helped to eliminate possible problematic details before actual installation. We also created a logo for the clinic that shall match the whole concept. How do you like it?

Impressive.
Did you model all of this? How long did it take you?

Hi, all that you see on these pictures is modeled. It took about one month. Two weeks for commercial pictures and two weeks for our Studio renders.

Here is the project we started during the lockdown. The aim was to create CGI for the new reality of a district that was built over 100 years ago in the city of Riga, Latvia.  To give new ambience to the existing district, we wanted to fit in upcoming property renderings without breaking the charm of the architectural surroundings.
The customers’ wish was to show more of the historical area in their property marketing campaign, so recreating existing buildings was a big part of the 3D visualization work.
With such a detailed scene, we were able to play with different view angles, scenes, and moods with the typical Baltic weather.
Mostly, we used the studio’s library standard assets; some of the materials were recreated with the procedure to give a realistic touch to the surfaces. We also applied the #railclone plugin for regular structures such as windows, balconies, posts, etc.

Although these visualizations were created during the lockdown with the property in another country, the work process wasn’t that different from our regular flow, as in most cases, we work with customers remotely via digital communication. Street views were studied via Google Maps and Instagram location tag explore to adapt to local people’s perception of the area.

Below are the Google Street Views we used for building the scene and color harmonies. The tram is a bit modified compared to the actual tram in Riga.

These visualizations and animation are made for a new kitchen collection showing the elegance of a modern space.
Marble surfaces, deep dark shades of walls and furniture framed by the metallic brass details and accessories gives a luxury look. The interior space blends eye-pleasing style with party-starting performance.

Enjoy!

Gallery / Lots of "handcraft" work on a brick textures
« on: 2020-01-08, 14:16:06 »
Built in 1878 as apartments and lived through ages this building been used as Art Museum of Tartu for almost 70 years is now turning back to its roots and become an apartment residence again.

Real estate developer gave us Cart Blanche for the visual property presentation, and we wanted to point out the respect for a historical part the architect gave. Architectural CGI aimed to show the modern vibe that this property certainly gets. Small but smart, eclectic with minimalist and classical elements this was fun to work on and create CGI for the property marketing campaign.

Artist's input:
The most challenging part was bricking. It's an old building with lots of interesting decorations made of bricks, which had to be carefully recreated with a certain level of diversity in bricks. Simple cloning of similar elements wouldn't work, they all needed an individual mapping or some randomization inside the material. I even thought about making them as actual geometry with RailClone, but things started to get very messy very soon and, sadly, there was no time to invent proper solutions. So ended up using Bercon Tiles in combination with Multitexture, Bercon Noise and a bunch od brick textures, which was cut out from hi-res brick wall texture. And lots of stockpiled Poly Select and UVW Map modifiers with displacement it seem to work out well.

Setup and overall mood of the project seemed excellent for experimenting with some materials wearing, to add some character to the surfaces. Mixed in some scratches and other imperfections maps from Quixel, the result seems to be a right balance between realism brutality and splendour needed for a commercial project.
This was an enjoyable cooperation experience with a customer – a rare and happy moment when our vision and taste are perfectly matched. Enjoy!
