Many thanks for the help! I got satisfactory results and it was really important to use proper texture.

Yes, I've found a thread about this recently. So, as JViz said the best solution for me now, is mixing some grunge with scratches and use them in gloss slot with a veeeery little bump.

Hi there,

I'm practicing in some advanced materials and trying to recreate the effect like on pic 1. When bump details are visible only on highlights areas.

It doesn’t look right if I put only coronaNormal in the bump slot. So I decided to use Fresnel Falloff like in coat material. It looks better but not as detailed as I want. Even with 8k texture.
I tried to use the same map with falloff in gloss slot to accent scratches but it doesn't help and scratches start to appear on midtone areas even if I tweak curve.
Also, I'm interested in effect when dirt map (gloss.) is visible only on highlights not on a whole surface.

So what is the best walkthrough to archive the same result as on pic1? Maybe I don't understand this effect and how it works and do everything wrong..

Awesome work and details but I'd recommend to add some dust on tires with CoronaAO for a finished look.

Hi! It's my new project.
Since my childhood I've been really keen on cars, especially racing ones, so I decided to designed it myself. Just simple race car, nothing very extraordinary. It's GT3 front engine race car.
I was inspired by the shape and temper of shark and also boldness of Khyzyl Saleem's concepts and the elegance of Aston Martin Vulcan and porsche 917. I tried to combine these ideas and that's what happened.

P.S. It's a dust on top of car (yep, its strange)
And Corona light mixer is really imbalanced thing :)

This is a great example how artistic approach and polishing the details are more important than hardware. Amazing job!
Many thanks, Maru. I'm glad to hear that from you.

Great images! I just wish they would be less overfiltered.
Thank you! Yes, I also think that images are tweaked  too much. I wanted to get more artistic look, but I lost it..

Hello! This is my latest project. Inspired by some place in the bengali village I saw once in the morning. I wanted to show quite calm mood somewhere in the outback.

Unfortunately my PC is very weak so I was limited in details, but I tried to maintain balance in detailing and optimization. All models I made in 3ds max then detailed them in zBrush and textured in SP. Full CGI.

Comment and critics are more than welcome.
Hope you like it ;)
