I have the same issue with Corona 7 hotfix 1.
And it happens only to 1 camera view, the rest of the views renders just fine.

I have the same problem render starts normally and goes well for about 10 passes with 3 million rays, then ram consumption increases to the max, Rays drops to 10k and I can not stop the rendering, need to force close max.    The some cameras from the same scene renders normally and some causes this error.

I have the same issue with Corona 7 hotfix 1.
And it happens only to 1 camera view, the rest of the views renders just fine.

The new sampler is off by default and is enabled by toggling a single checkbox somewhere in the render settings (it's in the regular settings, not in the devel/experimental), so you can easily switch it on/off to see if it introduces any problems in your scene. The new sampler still has some problems (produces misc. rendering artefacts) when the scene contains non-physical fakes and few users report slowdowns on CPUs with high number of cores.



True in my case, most scene is slower with new sampler and although lesser noise for overall, but introduce more fireflies at the same time. I'm using i7-5930K

Hi,

Had issue with batch rendering, although it rarely occur, maybe 1 out of 10. The issue is from several renderings, one of them will keep rendering forever even though  i already set the passes at 200, but the rendering passes will only reach 150 and keep rendering. Had this issue happened with 1.6 hotfix 1 and 1.5 previously.

Wondering whether it's a 3ds max issue or corona ? Did anybody experienced this before ?

I wonder if you have an "invisible" corona render region somewhere way way off the VFB. We had this recently. Try to zoom out as much as possible and see if there's one there. Or just hit the remove all regions button.

Thank you Alex! You are right! i can't see if there are any region way off the vfb though so just hit the remove all regions .

Hi,

I'm using corona 1.6 hotfix 1 with 3ds max 2017.

Encountered this strange behaviour when my scene which previously rendered normally, suddenly turn black when rendered.
even the render element is not rendered (black).

Tried to restart max, and reset the corona render setting, which gave me normal behaviour, but for once only. Next render it started turn to black again. This time resetting doesn't result in anything.
I tried change the number of passes to unlimited, and the rendering will even go up to 18k in just 19 seconds.
Will upload the scene through private uploader.

Nope, no alpha and output set to 1.

updated :

cleared the material and redo, just corona bitmap @diffuse slot.
first attempt gave the same black result.
second attempt and the bitmap show up.


will update should it happened again.

Hi,


One of the rendered textured turn out as totally black but the texture itself is grey (see attachment).
Is there something i missed ?

was doing rendering when the following message show up, not sure what triggered this or how is it going to affect the scene.

owh, thought coronacam modifier will override it.

[Max] Resolved Bugs / CORONA 1.5 + Physical Camera = no DOF

I'm using Max 2017 SP2.

Enable the camera DOF but didn't seems to get the result with physical camera.
Tried with target camera and i can get the DOF on the rendering.

Both camera have CoronaCameraModifier with "Force DOF off in this view" unticked.
