here is an speed comparison between trees with opacity mapped leaves and geometry leaves , as u see in this case geometry leaves is 3 time faster than opacity leaves.

Note :
do not use opacity map as much as possible , it will increase your Render time a lot.
try to convert leaves or objects like that to geometry .

i think it would be nice if we have a Light sample multiplier for each light in scene . as i know sample rays for lights is based on intensity , and if i want to decrease the light sample for a light in far of my scene i need to decrease intensity for that light.
i know there is an global variable for that in render option but i think its much better to add a Light sample multiplier for each light.

Hi
first i want to say thank u for your great render engine its very fast and stable for me. i have a exterior scene with more than 30000 lights , i created a sample scene with 30000 lights and a plane as ground , after hit render button i got too much noise also if i zoom on a area for example frame 10 lights render is noisy again and long render time .
if i have an option to cutoff light rays at a distance radius , my render will be much faster. (something like cutoff in vrayLight)
