[Max] General Discussion / Re: Gamma Correction Tone Mapping Operator Removed - Bring it back!
« on: 2024-05-29, 10:33:51 »Agree 1000% here with everything that's been said: I was so happy to finally see a Gamma operator coming with C11HF1, and so disappointed to see it disappearing in HF2.
That's definitely a feature you want back in Corona. It looks like a basic fonctionality that should come by default. In the end I find myself paying for features I don't really need, like Phoenix, and at the same time basic functionalities like Gamma operator are missing ...
I don't think that wanting to protect novice users by restricting those who need more flexibility and usability is a good thing.
In the meantime, is there any other way to alter the gamma of the render except of doing it in a post production software? Any LUT file that would allow that? (I guess no, but just asking to be sure).
Curves layer. just match it to whatever gamma adjustment you need. you can use saved .acv files from PS, right? (not sure if these work as expected).
