Hello, is anybody know how to fix my mouse pointer icon? It turns to pan hand during the working process, probably after applying material on the object via drag&drop, or zooming, I'm not sure this bug is untraceable.
-
Which exact version of Corona is this? I don't think this has ever happened to me, I am also not aware of any other user reports.
-
I'm using Corona version 12 with 3ds max 2023.
upd. it freezes on pan hand cursor when i zoom and pan inside zoomed image during interactive rendering
-
I can't reproduce it so far. Could you share a video recording showing what exactly you are doing?
-
Also, why it spontaneously zoom out when i'm working with interactive rendering and change anything (i want to be zoom in) you can see it on the video 01.06 min?
-
Thanks for the recording! I will experiment with it some more.

This is a bug and it's already internally fixed. It will be a part of Hotfix 1.

Pan hand happens to me quite often, too. Max 2025 and Corona 12, Windows 10. I hadn’t noticed when it kicks in but it’s always just over the vfb, usually near the end of a long session.
-
Sorry to hear it, and thanks for your respond in this topic, maybe developers fix this bug, because it is very uncomfortable to use VFB.
-
Do you guys happen to have "Lock 3ds Max euring rendering" turned on in system settings?
-
Here's my settings:
(no checkbox on lock 3ds max)
-
Ok thanks.
Are you using a bluetooth/wireless mouse?
I have experience similar things in 3ds Max too, mostly I remember them with a wireless mouse.
And is this something you experience only with a specific version of 3ds Max?
-
Yes I'm using wireless mice, and it seems that 2024 works a bit more stable than 2023 version
-
Yes, using a logitech wireless mouse….
-
Thanks for the replies, seems we are on the right track.
Can you please just try with a wired mouse to make absolutely sure this is wireless issues, and not something related to Corona-Max updates?

Is this problem due to wireless mouse? I am also a Logitech G903 wireless mouse, and Corona 12.1 version will also turn into a cursor hand

Hey there,
i´m having the same issue and the only way to fix is restarting 3dsmax...
I don´t know if the bug relates to Corona or Max or maybe even Windows 11. I have to say for me it feels like Windows 11 is getting worse from patch to patch.
I´m using everything wired (Mouse(Corsair), Keyboard(HyperX), SpaceNavigator (3dMouse from 3dconnexion) ).
Corona version: 12 (Hotfix 1)
Full-speed, Non-debug, MaxSDK 2024
Build timestamp: Aug 2 2024 09:07:17
Windows 11
Best regards,
Denis

Still having this. Testing with a wired mouse isn't that practical at the moment, sorry. That said, I'm starting to think it's actually related having Photoshop open at the same time as Max\Corona.
Anyone else have photoshop open in the background and using various brushes and then coming back to Corona and the pan hand won't go away?

I have the same issue.
With and without wired mouse.
-
Letting you know that there is a similar report (type icon instead of pan), which we believe are related, that is currently being investigated.
We will share updates as they come.
-
Same here, this is pretty annoying. Wired mouse. Not Photoshop open, just 3ds max 2024 + Corona latest version.
-
Any updates on this? Happening to me also, wired mouse - C12 Update 1
-
Are you able to pinpoint some specific steps to reproduce this, or is it happening totally randomly? Does it go away on its own, or do you need to restart 3ds Max?
I am not aware of anyone getting this in our team. I've been working with Corona 12, including user scenes, and it never happened to me.
-
Nothing of note, I'm assuming I panned the VFB at some point, then the hand never disappeared until I move it outside of the frame buffer? Resetting Max, Opening a different scene gets rid of it
-
Hi, i started to have the Hand pointer corona VFB at all times, I'm on Corona 12.1 and max 25 last update.
-
Does it mean that even if you create/open a new scene the mouse cursor is always the pan hand? Or are you getting it only after some time of working with the VFB?
-
Hi Mare, I'm getting it only after some time of working with the VFB.
