It would be really nice if Corona edge map could work with Chaos scatter. Currently it does nothing when assigned as density or transformational map.

Sorry, i have no idea what can be the issue. You can open a support ticket at the Chaos help portal: Hopefully someone from Corona support team will be able to guide you through troubleshooting of this issue.

Did you try to contact the farm that can't render your scene and ask them about that? What is their answer?

The attached error report says 63,9 GB of physical RAM installed on system, not 128 GB. Maybe that's the answer?

Care to show an example of what you're talking about? I don't think i see any difference between the two, except their projection, which comes from the fact that one is render element and the other is bake to texture map.

How dare you call my renders ugly!! I'm going to sue you! :]


Do you have lightmix set-up in the scene? Maybe you baked lightmix values to the scene without realizing that this will permanently change the lighting?

Reflections/ refractions can't be baked to texture, since they are view angle dependant. I believe the same applies to the caustics, although i'm not entirely sure about that.

You can add any texture, or textures graph to baking object's material's diffuse slot and bake to texture Corona_DiffuseColor map. That's essentially the same as CTexmap render element, just baked. I'm not sure what you mean by "add definition to a texture" though.

I think you should report a bug and provide a scene where the bug is happening. This clearly does not look like expected behaviour.

Some elements are indeed "improved" :]

You can override environment reflections and/or refractions in the glass material. You can add there any other HDRI, or just plain solid colour.


It's probably not related to the issue, but i noticed that you're normal map node is in incorrect position. When using it in combination with triplanar and/or mapping randomizer, it should be set up as input for those maps, not output.
