Hey guys,

We are happy here at Slashcube to share this cool image we prepared for the new release of the AXYZ Modulor models. The models were so inspiring, that we could not resist being also creative.
The models are really detailed and fine tuned too. We worked on making some custom maps and some nice blend shaders for the fabrics and the skins too.

Almost all is done in render too. Only ps work was done for general color grading and some particle screening...just to add up a bit.

MaxonC4D was used and of course Corona A4.1 rc1.

hope you like it,

Cheers,

Thomas

Another way of changing colormapping is directly in render settings - that will also change preview in PW (sorry we didn't mention this in changelog). As of the old dialog, the reason we removed it was there was quite a lot of places to edit colormapping, but I agree that when using PW, changing it in render settings is not ideal.
We will discuss about the GUI and possibility of adding the dialog back (there will probably be A5.1)...

Well the thing is that at least in my case, nothing is changing the color mapping on the Picture viewer or the Corona frame Buffer.
Whatever i do, the refresh gives me no changes at all. I have to stop and rerender. So i thought that there is also something wrong there.

I think a lot of users are really used on the Picture viewers capabilities( multipass viewer etc)..so having it as a dialog box i think is the best scenario for those who customise a lot their layout workspace.

is there any way to use realtime color mapping in this new version ?

Yeap, not working also here. I really think it is a lot more convenient as it was before. I tend to like native picture viewer more ( im used to it), So making a window on my layout in c4d with the color mapping was much easier that way.

2nd image - IES light marks on walls and no spotlights in the ceiling? Where does the light come from?

God Light. Well the designer wanted only light and no spot lights. They werent going to ''design'' spotlights...so we couldnt show any spotlight...just light. Thats why the image has no 3d model spotlights.

Hi Guys,

Long time no see. There have been too many high  projects here in the office the last 4 months, so we have too many stuff....but not really any ability to showcase some nice projects. But we have this small apartment we did for a private client in Zurich. Interior design is by Kalfopoulos Architects.

Most of the models are Design Connected. Model was done with Cinema 4D and we used CoronaC4D.

Hope you like it.

Hi there,

Long time no see. Just finished a small project with some nice chalet interiors. The project was done in a minimum amount of time, i think around 7 days. Most of the stuff were modelled from scratch, except some furniture like sofas and stools. The whole modeling was done with Cinema4D and of course CoronaC4D for the rendering. The scene is lighten by coronaSun/Sky and some adding of artificial lights for the better looking of the interiors.

Some post process was done, but not too much. Most of it was around some scattering of light and some minor color grading.
All critiques are welcome. just to mention that there are minor detail mistakes of UV mapping or smaller things all around. Due to the minimum amount of time, i just had to let them be!!!

Cheers,

Thomas

Hi guys,

Well once again i had the luck to make something with Laubwerk's new Plant kit.

Especially when it is Xmas and what better than having a xmas tree! This one was done with Corona C4D and i loved it. A little expensive in render time, considering that i added  translucency for the Spruce needles. The rest, simple mats and some scattered Corona sphere lamps just for the effect!

Hope you enjoy it and lovely Xmas holidays to everyone.

cheers,

Thomas

Hey guys,

Some small update on the model. I worked a bit more on the entrance porch and i started some modeling on these dead trunks yesterday. I m going to be needing 2 more variations and some broken ones inside the water...so more trunks to model. everything is done within Cinema 4D and its amazing sculpting tools.

I rendered the scene a bit bigger, so it gives more of the feel that eventually will happen in there.

Hi guys,

Long time since i had some time for a personal project. I know it is holidays, but i had in mind this image for quite a long time. I started some modeling yesterday, so i figured out to post something from almost day 1.

The concept of the image is Crime Reflections. I love criminal cases and creepy stories...so...i will try and pass it over to the image. Dead trunks ( I have to put some biology and modeling skills to the table), swamp like water and more things.

The light is simple with an Hdri map from Vizpark. Model is Maxon C4D and render is CoronaC4D.

Till the next post

This is simply amazing.
I like the overall mood and lighting...nice shaders on the leaves, too.
Looking forward for more of your work.

Cheers
Ale

Thanks a lot Ale,

Shaders were also a great surprise for us also. They came to be really nice looking.
There are some more projects we want to share, but we have to wait a bit due to confidential issues etc.

Cheers,

Thomas

fantastic! On the right, a nice slope into a water body( pond or stream) would have added extra polish and give an adequate end to the horizon of this scape bcos i doubt we can have this size of trees right at the edge of a cliff

Thanx Yagi,

well it could be as you say it..although i am a mountain guy and i do see cliffs like that. Of course this cliff can continue further more on the right...it is just the POV that makes this open horizon look i guess. And i kind of liked this opening ...next time!!!

Here some more Tree samples i had to do while playing with the trees.

I saw your wonderful image on FB and in the Laubwerk website, congratulations !
You've made all the image in FPP ?
For the gravel path, just look at the new features of the 4.3.2b, you have a lot of new amazing presets witch will be closer to the reality (the only critic I have to make on this beautiful render).
Congrats !

Thnks Roland,

well the whole scatter was done with Surface Spread. I could use Carbonscatter with Maxon C4D but Surface Spread seemed more flexible for me. ( dont get me wrong, Carbonscatter is great i just have it a few days and didnt have time to make it work as i wanted...yet)
So everything was scattered with painted vertex maps and some more options. I know it could be more realistic on the scattering..it is true!!

I dont think FPP is yet available with Maxon Cinema4D.

Cheers,

Thomas
