Hi Maru - I have an unrelated issue, which is causing serious issues when trying to investigate this current topic.  I tried installing v12 on my Cinema4D 2024 install, and in the installer I choose to only install for 2024.  During the install process, I see a message that the previous version of Corona needs to be un-installed.  When I now open Cinema4D 2025, my Corona v13 has been removed (assumedly during the v12 install for 2024).  The reverse happens when I then again try to install v13 for 2025 - the message that previous version needs to be un-installed - and now I no longer have v12 installed for 2024!  Is it no longer possible to have 2 different versions of corona installed on 2 different version of C4D?

This setup still doesn't work as it should in v13 + C4D 2025.2.1 :



And Corona Color Correct is not a viable replacement since the settings don't affect the output when the shader is connected to bump.

Sorry, it seems that I was wrong, and I must be missing something. I rendered simple materials with Triplanar, with Mapping Randomizer and without, using Corona Bitmap, and it rendered the same in V12 and V13. Could you share any scene, even very simple, where this is happening to you?

Can you explain what exactly you would like to achieve?

If you mean environment overrides for glass, then you may need to use reflection or refraction overrides instead of the direct visibility override.

Just a note, we've explained why it isn't sorted (being able to save directly to EXR) - it's because we use the native Max and C4D save routines, and they limit what data you can add to the EXR. So we use CXR instead, as we wrote that save routine and can easily adjust what it contains and how its formatted. The solution would be to rewrite ALL save routines to be done from Corona and not via the DCC, which is a very large task and would take a significant amount of development time, making it hard to fit into the dev process (as we'd have to give up on developing other things to do it). It's definitely on the to-do list though.

Corona doesn't import multiple cameras from the scene at the moment, and this is already on our to do list. It was hoped to include it in 13 (as can be seen in the still-not-updated-sorry roadmap at https://trello.com/b/EfPE4kPx/corona-tentative-road-map-3ds-max ) but that turned out not to be possible, so it is still slated for some future development.

Nevertheless, I'd like to see the original solution implemented without the bug, because camera in my scene starts by looking top-down, but after some time it smoothly shifts its tilt and starts to show the horizon... On top of that add some reflective materials with accurate reflections on them, on objects close to the camera...
