[C4D] General Discussion / Ai Enhancer Upload Error

hi, We are using Corona 13 and c4d 2025, and uploading does not work on one of our computers when using ai enhancer. We have completely reinstalled Corona and temporarily disabled the firewall as a test, but we still keep getting an "Upload Error" in the Corona VFB. Uploading images to Collab works fine in general, but not when using the AI Enhancer.

Hi everyone,

I've been running into ongoing issues when using Team Render with Corona Renderer. The rendering behavior is noticeably different compared to local renders, and in this particular case, the Mixture Shader is not working correctly when rendered over Team Render. Locally, everything looks fine.

I've been using Corona since the early Alpha days (back when it was still free), so it's been around 8–9 years now. Unfortunately, I’m seeing more and more issues related specifically to Team Render.
Please also check my previous threads on this topic – I haven’t received any response there yet.

At our studio, we have six high-performance Team Render machines running locally, but due to the issues described, we currently can't use them. This seriously impacts our timeline and workflow, as we're now forced to render everything locally just to make sure results are correct.

I kindly ask you to take a closer look at this issue. We're definitely not the only ones experiencing these problems – and some of them have existed for quite a long time now. I always try to describe everything in as much detail as possible and provide clean test scenes to help track down the issue.

The current problematic scene is attached. I hope this can be investigated further.

Interesting. I had reported this Team Render issues a long time ago, maybe 4 or 5 years. Team Render behaves similar to Save with Assets. In my case, textures, at least from third party materials sets, when collected would change the name of the texture file to some random numeric name, but not the inside the path so they would all be missing from the render. In my case it was a material set from The Pixel Lab. I will try your workaround with a C4D node sitting in there.

For me, I haven't used Team Render in a long time, but this issue would be a problem if you want to use a render farm too.

I’m following up on this again. Just like with Tuami, we can reproduce the same behavior here.
Everything works as expected up to version Cinema Version 2025.0.2.
Starting with version 2025.1 and up to the current version 2025.2.1, files imported from the Asset Browser that either use the Bitmap Shader or are set up as Shared Materials no longer work in Team Render. Both V12-Hotfix 1 and V12-Update 2 work correctly under version 2025.0.2, but not from version 2025.1 onwards.
For us, this means we can no longer install any C4D updates, which is extremely inconvenient.

Corona Version 13 Daily Build – March 5, 2025

The Mixture Shader is not functioning correctly. When using blend modes, colors are sometimes not calculated correctly, leading to incorrect results. This issue was not present in the previous version.

Attached is a test file—please compare the results using both the old and new Corona versions.

When using corona bitmap shader and materials from the Asset Browser and rendering with the Team Renderer, the materials do not appear in the final render. When using the interactive renderer it works. However, if the native C4D bitmap shader with assets from assets browser  is used instead of the Corona bitmap shader, it works as expected with team rendering. Is this a known issue? It also seems related to C4D 2025, as the problem does not occur in C4D 2024.

[C4D] Daily Builds / cxr_layers in Photoshop File

We use Cinema 4D 2025 and Corona 13 daily build. We export PSD files, and recently, there are CXR layers in the PSD file that are making the file huge. Is this a known issue.

it would be great if we could use the roughness mode in standard for shadow catcher material and posibillity to swtitch the mode in advanced tab like in the physicyal material.

btw:  i don't know if i have to make this request via the new ideas portal (aha.io) i'm not a big fan of this, and the very bright layout bothers me, but well.
. However, I cannot log in there with my chaos login data as announced in a forum post here. as TomG explains in his initial posting:

Furthermore, I do not believe that it is legal in the broadest sense to have this login information passed on to aha.io? Completely without a legal basis, however, the collection and transfer of customer data to third parties entails a data protection violation.

at the very least, consent should be given and it should be clarified how the data will be further processed with aha.io?

Hi, I just noticed that when I change the camera on the Corona Lister, C4D crashes. This is simply a new empty scene with two newly created cameras. maybe you can take a look at it

hello,
we have the problem that from time to time the renderings look like this, that the reflection on the floor is missing and the objects appear strangely reflective or shiny. we then noticed that if we move the camera slightly, the problem will no longer occur. we are currently rendering a small animation of 200 frames and here the problem is again with individual frames that again leads to the error. we would like to know how we can fix the problem without rendering every single frame beforehand to see if the scene is rendered cleanly, which would cause a lot of work and is not the solution to the problem.

we are using corona 11 final with c4d 2024 (we also had the problem with c4d r21 and older corona versions.

[C4D] I need help! / shadow catcher bumb same hdri

hello, i would like to give the shadow catcher more realism and i was just wondering if it is possible to use exactly the same (hdr) texture as from the sky object to bumb the shadow catcher. Does anyone here have experience on how to solve this or is it not possible because of the mapping? (sphere mapping or dome mapping and ground is flat). if it's not possible, it would be cool if the shadowcatcher had an option to adjust the projection ... thanks a lot :)

hello, we have purchased amd graphics cards and therefore can no longer use the Nvidea (fast preview) denoiser. Is it possible to integrate something like the nvidea denoiser for amd graphics cards. I have seen that there is also a denoiser from amd, but I do not know if you can denoise via the gpu.

Because the x3D has more Cache, does it mean render time will be performer?

6) Corona is heavily memory limited - this means that the CPU spends most of its time waiting for the memory to provide data to be operated on. This also means that the cache size and speed is one of the most important factors in Corona performance.

Sure I think we have to wait for the first corona benchmark results to get more clearity, but it is already tingling in the fingers to assemble the new computers

Hello, we want now to buy another corona license (Solo) an i have this question.

We need this license now and the problem is, this computer will be fully replaced in 3-4 Weeks. So, we want to migrate the license to the new computer, how is this possible, can we simply logoff and install it to the new computer?

Hello we are using corona renderer on multiple machines and nodes. We would like to reduce cpu usage when team rendering on one machine. This can be done via the settings, but this only works for the local machine and not for rendering via the team renderer. I just saw that in the latest daily build the settings can be made directly via corona, but after a test this still does not work. is it possible to somehow set this so that a node gives less power, so that this machine has additional power for simultaneous work?
