By the way you can drag root just on node not only in root slot if you hard to aim on small zoom level for example menu will appear to choose slot

You can make it with many ways, photoshop filter like fiber and a bit adjustment or fractal noise with oceanFD map like this

Yes check temperature it may throttling.
Are you using portal? It may speedup.
Glass object may slow rendering and produce noise, it may be better to use rayswitch on lamp glass. Also check window glass and tick thin checkbox. Disabling lightmix also may increase speed a bit.
It is said you have many light source maybe some model have wrong setup. All bought model better to double check material etc. To complicate shader rendering slow, some models from 3dsky for example moderators advice to make complicate shader what is really crazy in some models.

Looks like this issue appears only with Volumetric scattering. You can add color in refraction but SSS will work not the same as separate objects

it works if you avoid changing topology, if you stop generate birth particles before 0 rendering frame it should work

Maybe it's from caustic? You can disable it and make glass in window Thin. If you don't want sun shadows turn it off and light scene with sky only it will looks like cloudy weather with soft light

Agreed it's not possible, because it will change FOV.

Simple solution to hide the wall is clipping planes
