Is it possible to add this feature:

When the user clicks UHD Cache or 4K Cache and specify the cache location. The Cache file will automatically generate from a specified frame or frame 1 as "Calculate from scratch" and then it automatically proceeds to render from a "load from file" cache file in backburner or any network renderer.

I think its waste of time and focus to do these repetitive steps. It helps because when a user is in a deadline and is about to render its important to maintain focus. It could be that the user happens misses to one of these mundane steps and the cost is always go back to 1 and repeat or it creates a user error and mess up the Cache.

1. Set animation to single in the common file
2. Go to Scene> Progressive Rendering Limits>Past Limit =2
3. Go to Performance>Cache>Precomputation=Calculate from Scratch
4. Click Render
5. Go to Performance>Cache>Precomputation=Load From File
6. Go back to Common panel>Time Output Frames = Range

I have a photogrammetry of a city and I would like to add a CoronaRaySwitch in white for Global Illumation slot. Does anyone out there know how to do this on 500 materials?

Hi Corona Team,

As you may know in some instances it's almost impossible to go inspect every material in the scene, and in reality, there are some things we need to let go to push forward, like materializing every object. I know you can convert these materials, but I want to keep my Corona Legacy on my library material for now.

So I am proposing to make Corona better is to keep the red/white glowy message on IR and in render it should render gray flat gray with no light bounces.

Can you add a function in the modify panel properties that will enable the user to set values/parameters for the "visible directly" option?

In reality, a person can look directly into the light source and see the components of a bulb, for example, the housing, filament, gas, and led chips. For the most part, renderings burn out the light source, and all we see is a burned circle in the image, which takes away from human-based realism.

I know there are methods to doing this like using two lights sources 1. One light to light up your scene and 2. Light up the light housing or the source either through a Coronalight or CoronaLightMtl with less intensity values.

But what if all the properties are encapsulated in one light under it's properties.

Hi Mr. Ondra,
Can you consider a function to add fog based on a gradient map method (like Z-depth)? I think CoronaVolume material is great, but it's too realistic. I would like to see more Hollywood-type fog.

I know I can do this in post, but I would like the option to have it baked in the output.

I'll be the first to ask:

"Note: further colors/maps are accessible via maxscript"

This shows up in CoronaMultiMap. I went to an overkill of 33 slots and all loaded fine but I can't edit the frequency parameter past 24 in the slate editor.

By the way this for a leaf map from megascans it has 33 leaves in a single map.

Hi Corona Team,

I would like to add depth of field and chromatic aberration to the camera to match more or less the photographic effect of the backplate. Currently, If I were to add these effects on the camera it gets pre-multiplied on the backplate. I know I can solve this in post, but my question is directed in achieving this in the VFB.

Can we have an option to ignore DOF and Bokeh on the backplate. Or is it possible to do this now?

In the latest releases of corona is it still necessary to disable denoising when saving/creating a UHD file?

Hi Corona Team,

I would like to spin my HDRI using a bezier controller. Does the team know why I'm not able to target the ROTATE (DEGREES): ENVIRONMENT spinner in corona or the U: OFFSET in 3dsmax?
I know it's possible with the regular bitmap loader I am just wondering why the controller is not the same in CoronaBitmap.

How about a volume or box that can wrap around the area where the user wants to concentrate high quality render settings and GI bounces and anything outside the box can be low priority.

Can you add a button that automatically creates a UHD cache. The action of the button could perform setting the job to single frame or every other frame, remove all denoisers, ignore save as output in the common panel, and finally save the UHD to a desired location.

Or better yet, if you make an animation and submit it to Backburner it should automatically make one.
