Hi,

The original issue of "spots" when using environment overrides was fixed in the latest v8 daily build: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=33839.msg190180#msg190180

Also the material no longer changes colour when increasing the LSM, however you shouldn't need to do this now :)

Hey Dionysios,

This is fixed now. I just tried with the latest driver 472.12 released on 20/09/2021.

I tried with your cxr which previously was failing and it now denoises correctly.

    • Improved the way intersecting media are combined
      • All combinations of intersecting media should now be resolved correctly
      • Intersecting media are added together if and only if their containers are transparent (so VolumeMtl, VolumeGrid, PhoenixFD are always combined together).
    • Fixed issues with environment overrides, such as increased amount of noise and incorrect results
    • Fixed bugs with some textures having alpha higher than 1 either when loaded from disk or as a result of mipmap computation
    • Fixed loading of some uncommon .hdr textures
    • Fixed TAB order in CoronaBitmap (got broken in previous daily build)
    • Corona Proxy Exporter - When exporting non-grouped objects, the exporter now suggests a default output name based on the object names to be exported
    • Adaptive solver checkbox moved from the Performance rollout to the Development rollout

Hi,

I have contacted nvidia again to see if they made any progress on this.

I'll let you know when I get some more information.

EDIT: I have some more information, the nvidia team informed me that they have fixed this issue and it should be included in the next driver release which should hopefully be quite soon.

Hi guys.
After upgrading to very latest daily when i go saving all the render layers, 3dsmax suddenly crashes.
It's happening with a heavy scene with camera dof (still image rendering) but before this latest release i never encountered this problem.

Hi,

Yes we were able to reproduce that issue, but in quite a large scene. If you have a reasonably light scene I would be interested in testing that too.
