hello guys! I need a little help

how can I avoid this reddish wall and ceiling...? if there is a little red thats ok, but not like this

at the back of the room, the ceiling is okay, because the tiles are grey

thank you for your help!

I'm not totally disagreeing with your issue, but there is more going on in Mother Nature that we as 3D artists add to our scenes.

I think one of Mother Nature's trick is that the Earth is not flat...?

[Max] I need help! / wood floor texture...
« on: 2023-03-10, 01:21:38 »
hello guys!
does anyone know the "best" workflow for creating wood floor texture which includes 6-10 separate diffuse/gloss/bump/ior maps? and can easily use with multimap and floor generator?
I always have a problem with creating wood floors, and not because I dont know how to create a decent looking wood material, because I dont have "the" material for it.
The client shows me something on a website, its a 320*240 jpg from a terrible angle, and thats it.
And Iam searching for something like that pattern for hours, maybe find something, and I cut it into smaller pieces, its just terrible and unpractical. (the end result looks good tho, but Iam sure this is not the clever way that Iam trying to "hide" the original diffuse maps quality with little tricks)

Is there some procedural wood texture generator somewhere which generates rough, bump, etc maps too?
Or is there a not too overcomplicated way to create decent looking wood floor from one cosmos wood material? Because they look really cool, but what to do with them, if they are different from what I need?

there is no volume effect in these renders

I just want to create some landscape with a more or less lifelike horizon, but the only option to rotate the "sea" towards the camera, so I lose the blurred end

Ive searched about similar question, and only found "its a limitation" answer
is there any trick if I want to create some seascape from a normal perspective (instead of a drowning person) without that funny "horizon" line, which is more like the infinite end of the ground...?

thank you, guys!

[Max] I need help! / upgrade to corona9 from corona6
« on: 2023-02-27, 20:53:22 »
Iam using corona6 for about 2years now, and more or less Iam familiar with it, and I can work really fast with the settings, but Iam really interested in corona9.
My question is, if I upgrade, will there be any difficulties? I mean totally different menus, settings, toolbars, etc? Because I dont want to "le-learn" this again.
I mean I want to learn new things, but I have a job to do, and always have deadlines.

I hope my question makes sense. :)

thanks!

I think the main problem with this, that the original texture (from the couch) is only the bump map in the original render
so just use it as bump map
and after this you can easily find that spotty texture anywhere, and use it as a fallof map to create that metallic shine
or put something spotty too in the reflection map

it works! :)

thank you!

[Max] I need help! / quiestion about strange glass object...
« on: 2022-07-31, 22:12:39 »
why does the ashtray look strange on the table without any shadow or something....?
its just a simple glass material, nothing fancy
when I put something made from glass on any surface, its always weird...why is that?

thank you, guys.

I see it now, thank you, man.

Hi guys.

I was just messing around with the coronaAO function to give a little something to the edges.
And this is what happened.
The sphere's material is just simple, there is no AO in the diffuse map.

When I move the sphere into the cube, it gives a nice outline for it too...and its strange for me, because I dont understand why.

Iam really interested in why is this happening.

Thanks!
