hi,
using alpha 0.6... i think it happened in 1.1 as well although demo ran out. it`s been a while since i played with corona.
basically in front of glass an opacity mapped object is visible like you`d expect, solid where the map is white. behind glass object it becomes transparent, you can see objects through the solid part of the map.
attached a jpg.

i`m probably making a rookie mistake or it`s a known thing...be gentle.

Just playing with the demo in 2015.
On a scene converted from vray. I`m checking for incompatible materials so I have s`show scene materials` and `Show Materials/Maps/Incomplete` ticked ON. fine so far... then when i tick OFF `Root Only` to display all map levels and try to move the material list up/down it kind of hangs 3dsmax. processor stuck about 8%.
It seems like it`s trying to load/render maps/materials but getting stuck ?
Seems to happen every time.

oh forgot to mention it`s on `view list and icons`.

I`m getting a weird random characters using Native VFB title in the bar on first render after loading, second render sorts it out.

Hi,
not sure if it`s a bug or more likely a result of hacking a previous scene. HD Cache takes forever to compute with max standard photometric lights and ies web plus a few omni`s and spots (all turned to Corona shadows). Replacing with Corona lights and  using IES and it becomes nice and fast again. Obviously it`s designed to work better with native lights but maybe defeats the point of making max lights compatible if they slow it all to a crawl ?
checking again seems to be just max photometric lights.

Just an observation, not a complaint or anything.. I expect you know this already..

Getting a rough (garbled) edge on an adaptive spline with an extrude (logo). it goes away when set non-adaptive with higher steps instead.

Hi,
someone`s probably seen this before.
Was using CAD data but also created a tube next to it to test (on the right).
weird black patterns.
Corona Sun, reflect map in environment channel. Not much else.

Converted from Vray.
Using Alpha 4

Using Standard Max Render Window, I`m hitting render and the render window remains closed (closed it after last render). I can reopen it while re-rendering which is nice but i`d have thought it should open automatically ? Not sure why you`d want to hit render ant not see it.
Tried it with Corona Render window and that opens automatically ok. So just the default one.
Using max 2013
(I know I should probably use corona window but still..8)

In general it`s pretty good although I don`t see anything like what I see from the benchmark. Are there optimum system settings,
system unit setup etc ?
Since scene scale seems to make a big difference maybe it affects speed ?

using an image in environment slot with spherical mapping and it`s completely garbled. (blocky and weird.)
no difference with filtering change.
no change with `CoronaMapOutput`(although I don`t know if thats what i should be using, sorry ?)
thought I`d post here in case I`m doing something wrong.
It was ok in v3 Alpha.

Not sure if this is something you intended or not.
Frozen geometry renders as if it`s still visible.
From the utils menu if you tick the geometry `off` it still renders but slightly odd, maybe without textures ?
anyway.

[Max] Resolved Feature Requests / `Escape` the render

Just something I always got into the habit of. Pressing `escape` to stop the current render. I usually have the render window selected but pressing `esc` has no effect.
A minor issue but I`m an `esc` key man.

Maybe been mentioned before but It`s rather painful at the moment, they rrefuse to be picked in the viewport and are difficult to see the area they cover.

[Max] General Discussion / Alpha Channel not working ?

Forgive my ignorance I have an object, unwrapped and a decal graphic but the alpha doesn`t work and leaved the black in ? Tried with a mask with the map set to be the alpha as well, no joy. What am I doing wrong. Couldn`t find anything about it so it must be me ?
