Would it be possible to add into corona a feature where you could specify max ammount of ram you want to dedicate for rendering and if there's more needed then corona would do something like vray, dynamicaly unload and load new stuff?

So that you could render at very high resolution or very large scenes with tons of proxies and textures... or both...

I know this would affect performance but it would make it possible. Maybe at least for bucket mode and pt+pt only would be enough helpful for most situations i think...

this is extremely tricky to do with any GI method. It is planned, but not for a long time.
