Hi there,
i´ve got a little problem converning rectangular Map use. When I change the used Map to a rectangular Map after unwrapping on a square my Unwrapping gets streched in an unwanted way. Then i have to rescale my whole unwrapping to get the right proportions back. In this case i can just eyeball what the right scale has to be.

How do you manage to get around this problem?

in the Options (Options/preferences/Display preferences ) of the unwrap window you ca set up the Format of the unwrap field... Hope this solves your Problem.

I would manage this through the tiling in your bitmap and then you can keep all your UV unwrapping square (you may have other maps with different aspect ratios that you want to apply using the same mapping. So, for instance, your tiling could be 1.0 / 1.5 to square your map at the input. The numbers depend on the actual ratio of your rectangular map obviously.
