Hello,

I have got the free beta Version of Corona for 3DS max.
I already usd the free full trial before and everything went pretty well, but since I am using the free beta I got the following problem:

When I apply a bitmap/texture to a material the material editor shows everything properly, but when I try to render the scene only the base color of my object changes. f.e when trying to make a concrete surface the wall colour changes to grey, but nothing else is visible.

I dont really know what I messed up, maybe its the dumbest thing ever or its the Corona Beta.....any help is appreciated.

Thank you very much

Hej,

did you check the UV's of the object?
Maybe it's tiled very small or the UV's are messed up.

Even check "use world scale" checkbox in your material.
(At your bitmap slot in the Material).

Hope it helps.

All the best,
Nico

Tried those...seem all to be correct.
Is it possible that my SketUp modell is the problem? I tried to texture the standard box from 3ds and the textures showed after rendering.
The SketchUP modell has almost the same measurments as the 3ds box, so the scale should not be the problem.

I checked my original modell in SketchUp for the usual problems I am aware of, but my faces are all oriented right etc

I tried another SketchUp I made and the same problem occured......I saved as SketchUp 8

Does it happen with both bitmap textures and procedural maps?
Does it happen only to sketchup objects or also to native 3ds Max objects?
Maybe you left some files from previous Corona installation? Can you try uninstalling Corona and then installing A6 (because I guess this is what you call "free beta") again?

Sounds like it's a Max/SketchUp problem - and not Corona, so before uninstalling/installing you should check if the same happens when rendering with Scanline and/or mr.
