Hi people
I´m testing corona with a  vray scene, and i get this problem with  the output file. It´s black.
Also the coronacammod does not change  the image, simply does not work.
The setting overall is desabled(untick).
Also tried to save with gamma1.0 and it´s the same issue.
I did the material convertion and the ligt also, evn made corona sun to see if the problem was with th converted sun.
 Can anyone help?

-which version of 3ds max are you using?
-which version of Corona?
-in 3ds max, go to rendering>gamma lut setup, how does the window look?
-when you are saving, what gamma options do you choose?

Is the saved file BLACK like you said or DARK, like in the posted picture?

Hello

-Max version 2014
-Corona version: Alpha v7.2, Maxsdk version: 2014
-
-gamma settings is "automatic" i do not imput any value

- Saved as itis in the image , after tweaking exposure and contrast in Fbuffer. because as it comes in render is all white scene. as i said reducing iso, shutter speed in coronacammod does nothing in my scene.

don´t know what is wrong

after a few ries i changed the output gamma to 2.2  with a script , so now it´s imput 2.2 and output 2.2 . and the images comes out correct.

In vray i allways use output 1.0 why is in corona diferente?

I found the reason,
We need to save it in open exr (or any other high dynamic range) format , if we don't MAX will make gama multiplied by .44(1/2.2)

Hi,

You can override output gamma in Save picture dialog, or you can correct output gamma in file CurrentDefaults.ini to keep this output gamma as default. It's located C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2014 - 64bit\ENU\en-US\defaults\MAX.vray (or Max / Max.mental ray if you use those defaults)
This way you can save whatever format with correct gamma
