Hi everyone,

First of all sorry for the long title. Second, I am not 100% sure this is a "bug", but it is a huge problem.

I am finding more and more that when working with bigger and heavier scenes, it is getting increasingly hard to save out my render when using DR.

First problem is that corona often doesn't stop rendering after set max passes limit has been reached. 2nd problem is if I stop it manually corona and max crashes and I am left with nothing (HUGE problem). So often I end up in a scenario where the render isn't stopping, and if I save the image while rendering I don't get any of my elements (pointless), and if I stop it everything crashes and I am still screwed :/

Computer isn't maxed out on memory or anything like that, and I am also guessing when I say it happens more on bigger scene (larger .max file sizes) as this is really just the type of projects I am working on right now where I get these problems.

Anyone have any ideas?  or work around?

Cheers!

Edit: Testing now if it is any different using 3ds max's default frame buffer.

As a temporary workaround, you could use save all instead of save while rendering (hold save button until flyout came out). This should save all your render elements.

Oh didn't even realize! I did wonder why I couldn't... will certainly look into this... biggest problem is when things render overnight.. but I guess as long as they don't crash I can still save them the next morning.

Cheers will test this tomorrow.
