Hi,

here another wish, this time a very big one (for us) i would love to see implented.

the CMasking_Mask render element currently doesn´t layer or show the respective elements through something transparent. in short what would be cool, like the RGB multimatte render-element implementation of vray, if you could mask elements behind glass. if we have an interior scene we want the material of the terrace or the surrounding lawn to show up in the masks, even if seen through the glass in front of it. maybe for example to color correct the grass visible on the outside or the terrace flooring.

the current implentation has no layering of the individual RGB channels like in vray, i only get the mask of the glass (window element). if we set the glass material to "invisible in masks" on the other hand we loose the glassed area as a selection (to control the whole outside for example, in the above mentioned szenario). not essential but would be very handy and maybe not too hard to implent (but what do i know about that)?

or are there any other ways in corona to do what we want that we still haven´t figured out yet? that might very well be the case, coming only recently from vray...

cheers,

chris.

I believe i reported it as a bug. Or let Keymaster know about it at least. It's crucial for any basic VFX masking work, so hopefully it will be implemented soon.
