Hi,
I've been getting this error for a few years now, as I only have 64GB of RAM on my workstation. This wasn't ever 'that' much of a problem as it would usually render out fine, just a bit slower.
That was using Corona Render 10.
Now I'm using Corona Render 13 (Hotfix 1), and when the RAM runs out, the rendering seems to go very, very slow.
I also noticed that my HDD D:Drive is being used for the Page File (This might have been done by IT here for some unknown reason) and it goes to 100% usage (Read speed 1.3mb/s Write speed around 2.0mb/s). Ideally I would prefer the Page File to be set for the System nVmn SSD, as this might be a bit quicker to read/write.
My question: Has something changed the way the system paging is working behind the scenes from Corona 10 to Corona 13?
I have increased the Out-Of-Core limit from 100GB to 250GB with the default 10% Drive remaining parameter unchanged. This doesn't seem to make much if any of a difference.
Hopefully I'll be getting a newer Workstation soon, with a decent amount of RAM, but for now I'm stuck with 64GB.
86.5 GB of virtualized* RAM used by Corona + 3ds Max
102.9 GB of virtualized* RAM used by all running applications
63.7 GB of physical RAM installed on system
171.7 GB of virtualized* RAM provided by OS
* virtualized RAM means physical RAM + swap file on HDD/SSD
Corona RAM usage breakdown:
747.8 MB used by render elements
31.7 GB used by geometry
Best Regards :)
