Hello
just milestone model renders. this is triangles decimated version of the model - 700k tris with color and bump maps.. i have also nice quads model with displace which works with corona too - displace is aplicated as modifier on object because corona dont have displacement implemented yet.

Very nice... :) Any info about rendertimes? Especially interested in the last picture with dwarf on top :)

i tried 4 PT but it needs more passes to denoise blur so this is rendered with 16. i will make some test comparation with various PT samples.

hello
I tested PT samples values. i think that values 4 -16 are useable. more then 16 have no reason cause there is very little quality improvement and render times are high.I tried it with higher f-stop number (more blur) also with similar results.

This does not tell much to be honest :) I suggest you set time limit, instead of pass limit, for example 4 minutes (and disable pass limit). Then, try 4, 16 and 64 samples, and compare which setting produces cleanest result in 4 minutes ;) Also, you should never go under 4 samples ;)

hmmm i try it- 4 minutes limit, 4 and 16 pt samples and results are the same.

I see...  from my experience, in little bit more complex scenes, lowering PT samples from 16 to 8 made noise in DoF disappear slightly faster. Anyway...  default value seems to be working great universally across all scenes...  so that's good :)

There is only direct illumination in this scene. No indirect lighting, as environment is considered a direct light. You would see an effect only in more complex scenes ;) Actually, I believe if you'd set both primary and secondary GI to None, you would observe nearly no difference :)

yes you are right. its same result with GI off and it makes more passes than GI on.

are you using max or other 3d suit! cause corona implemented displacement from 1.5 may be early than this version. but CORONA RENDER SUPPORT DISPLACEMENT MAPS

here you can have complete feature list of corona render and glimpse at upcoming feature.

may be you should properly have a look at material editor.
