hey everyone,

I need to create a reflective material with kind of stretched blurry reflection.
Somehow it is always bent circular or in a S curve. How can I get it straight to fit with the zig zag sheet metal I'm aplying it to.
I also tried it with bump instead of anisotropy, but it does not look the way it should.

The material I used is very simple. Physical material, Roughness 10%, Anisotropy -0,5. Thats it.
Can someone help me to get these reflections straight pleeeeze ;)

Check screenshots to see what i mean. Thanks a lot!

Hi there,

These settings seem to do the trick for me. I started with a Aluminium Brushed from the presets and took it from there.

hey Beanzvision

thanks for your help. I will try that after my current massive render has finished.
I saw in this quite old quicktip for 3dmax that it might have something to do with the liniear workflow and gamma. do you think this could be the reason in cinema too?
