Hi Ondra,

Please add for CoronaSun classic behavior option, like target light.
Change of direction via move the sun in viewport is still the best.

(and in conjunction with my previous request, CoronaHDRI, I will be happy like pony :)

CoronaSun in the daylight system is there exactly for this

Yes, i know, it is also an option, but 3dsmax Daylight assembly is strange combo with useless Compas, etc. Daylight simulation is only Adesk wish, I never use it, every job is more about "mood", not about precision.
I just like elegant and clever solutions.

Actually, it is pretty much the same as targeted light. If you disable sky, then you have just sun aimed at compass. And compass is basically a target that has different viewport representation. Its just a little star instead of little box, that's all, other than that it behaves absolutely same.
