Hello!
Faced a problem. After some time in Corona 5, IR becomes very sensitive, it is updated even when you simply move the mouse over the viewport.
It is necessary to reboot 3ds Max.
Who else came across this?

Hey Feodor,

Are you using any scripts or plugins for your 3ds max and for the scene where you are experiencing this?

With the release of version 5, I am working with only one project so far, the project is a heavy max file weighing more than 500mb. There is currently a Phoenix effect in the scene. I use a lot of scripts, as always.
I noticed this happens after a long test render, at first everything is fine. I start the render, it takes one hour. I stop the rendering, turn on the IR, and such a problem begins.

One more clarification. Found this problem appears after working time 3ds max.
I have two versions of 3d max open. In one, I modeled an object; in the second, I assemble the scene and render. While I modeled in the first, in the second this problem appeared by itself. Although I inserted only a new object there and that's it.

Can you please record a small vid/screen capture of this  and upload? If the issue persists you could upload the scene for us and we investigate this further!

So, I was unable to reproduce your issue. Everything works fine in 3ds max 2020,2019, and corona 5-4-3 (no scripts).

Somethings to consider:

  • Could be due to some plugin you are using forcing a refresh on your IR. There have been reports in the past between certain plugin interoperability with corona and constant IR  refresh.

  • I've noticed you are using Xref, could it be that whenever you are updating your reference object it updates the scene in IR? Does this happen only when your Xref scene is open?

Have you tried to render, calculate one view, then use IR?
I suppose the matter is in the scene, or in the crooked material, the object, plus the plug-in, since on the basis of the first scene I make the second option, while this problem does not exist. And I have great suspicions, but the Phoenix FD effect. Since in the second embodiment one of its objects instead of 4
I often use Xref in projects, this was not, I doubt it.

Well, I understand, while everything is very vague in reducing the problem, if it appears again and it becomes clear exactly what exactly, I will write.

I guess this could be triggered by custom scripts/plugins. Would be great to know what exactly is causing it.

Yes both IR in VFB and docked on view-port, I did production too and IR back again to no avail, except my error messages of missing plugins and the xref object everything looked great. I know it's a nuclear option but do try and move the entire scene into a fresh empty 3ds max, you will have to setup somethings again but it might also help alot.

When working with arch-viz and importing stuff from 3rd party sources be sure to have cleaner script that removes bad track-nodes, Clean Motion Clips, Layer Controls and Retimer Managers. They can greatly impact performance and stability of your saved project.

(silly note, on yourbedside table where the pictureframe is, it's inside the furniture ^^)

Hi. I think the culprit is that OP had two instances of Max open at the same time. That's something that can cause problems - specifically in some 3dsMax versions. If this is it, then it's a Max problem, and not a Corona problem.

Regards

It may well be! Since I have two Max. But this problem was noticed only by Corona 5

Script Cleaner in my Max it is made with a special button, all the objects I have are subject to mandatory cleaning.

Thanks))) Corrected
