I have problem that make me angry this days ... my ( corona 3 for 3dsmax ) take long time about 2 days to render one photo .
the max file size was about 3.5GB . I Simplified scene and size file now 2.1 GB .
corona sitting is defoult .
I tried disable disblasment ... but stil long
I tried use (mtl override) render .. but still take long time .. the resolotion is 1950 * 1200 px .... I change it to 1450 * 990 px but still long .
I uncheking ( enable bitmapbaging and proxy ) buut still long .
I tried hide some object that not show on the camera shot ... but still long .
my cpu usage when render is about 15% / 2.5% ...( and disk usage is 100% (i think the problem is here))
my ram is 16GB and usage is 7GB ... (WHEN DURING OPEN THIS MAX FILE RAM IS FULL USAGE 15,200 GB).

I WAS RENDER OLD WORK WITH CORONA 1.7 WITH SAME PC AND EVERYTHING OK WITH HD PHOTO OUTBUT . AND MAX FILE 1.7 GB

Hi! Sorry to hear about the problems, however we would need a lot more information in a case like this. First, ideally we'd need the scene - https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000524006-how-to-report-issues-3ds-max is the link that gives the kind of info we need, and has the link to the private uploader on it.

In this case, as well as the scene, we'd need to know which version of Max, which version of Corona, what your hardware specs are, what OS you are running on is. Also useful would be an image of the render results you are getting (after, say, 10 minutes or something), plus a screenshot of the stats tab from the VFB. We'd need to know if any third party plugins are used (you mention Forest Pack - what happens if you remove Forest Pack from the scene, does it render normally then?). We'd need to know if this only happens in this scene and other scenes are fine. Do other render engines, e.g. native Max ones, work fine or do they seem slow too?

You mention bitmap paging - this should never have been enabled in the first place (Corona has a warning message, and a link to more info). You mention you did disable it, but did you also restart Max after that (as the change does not take effect until you do).

Proxies also have no effect on render time, they are for viewport performance only.

We'll be happy to help, but there's nothing much else we can do or say without seeing the scene best of all, or at least without all that extra information.

For the stats, we'd need to see those after the passes have started to calculate, usually best if it is from pass 6 or later so that adaptivity has been able to start up. That's a crazy long time for the UHD Cache, what happens with Path Tracing?

Would be a good idea to fix the errors, especially the normal maps, but good to fix the missing textures too (unless you know for sure they are not used in the scene). Will you be able to send in the scene via the private uploader? If not, at least a screen shot of the scene would be useful to see what it is meant to look like.

Don't forget hardware specs too.

I would definitely try removing all Forest Pack elements from the scene, and try rendering it then, to see if that isolates the issue.

Let us know how you get on :)

That isn't a particularly fast CPU (https://corona-renderer.com/benchmark/results/cpu/8550u) - also that seems like some fairly extreme overclocking, are you sure there are no overheating issues happening? Corona will make good use of a CPU, pushing it hard, which will show up any problems with heat as the CPU will be working to the max.

yes its not good processor, but the results of experiments indicated ... 4 hours as the fastest thing ... This is already what I get mostly ... But in this work is different .... And the usual processor temperature when rendering is 50/65 ... no overheating

Hi. I noticed that the Forensic plugin states that there's 1 virus in the scene. I think this could cause some troubles. Have you tried to remove this virus?

I think that's a clear sign that your system is running out of RAM and pagefile is being used. That means very very long render time. You should look for ways to optimize your scene more. I would suggest start from textures. If done right, you can save a tons of RAM on textures without sacrificing render quality too much. Your CPU should give no less than 1M rays/s on average scene, if you see significantly less than that, then you should cancel render and inspect your scene. There's no point in waiting for hours, hoping that render speed will improve - that never happens. As for this particular scene, i recommend to switch to PT/PT, since your UHD cache success rate is 0.0%, there's no point to wait 20 min for UHD computation, as it won't speed up your scene at all.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.
