Hello,
I try to move from Vray to Corona. I found couple of advantages of Corona but still there are few solutions I use pretty often in Vray which works well. Unfortunately I can't find easy replacement in Corona for grass. I would like to use fur as grass. It works very well in Vray: final effect from larger distance is ok, applying grass to any ground surface is very easy. I tried to find similar object like VrayFur, there is none, modifier CoronaHairMod looks odd to me, there are no parameters. 3dsmax Hair and Fur (WSM) could be a solution but maybe there is simpler way to get similar effect like at attached render? I also tried to populate large area with scattered grass geometry, but effect from distance wasn't as good as VrayFur. Could you help me to find good, easy to use solution for this problem?
Thank you in advance

That's not related to hair, it's just for small objects in distance not enough AA, so if you rendering small grass you should increase AA samples by lowering GIvsAA

Unfortunately, Corona doesn't have its own hair and fur system. Vray fur support is coming soon-ish (since we want to have support for all things Vray) but things like 3ds max Hair & Fur are supported as well as, for example Ornatrix.

Grass is usually done with instanced geometry in either Corona Scatter or Forest Pro. The upsides being that it allows for even more realistic grass and it doesn't take up too much memory, albeit more than hair. It can also be texture mapped as a whole (i.e. you can overlay a texture onto the whole lawn), unlike 3ds max hair & fur.

CoronaHairMod is intended to make hair look better in some cases and wouldn't really be much help with using hair as grass. In any case, experimentation is key.
