This was my submission for the Quixel Mixer competition. It's a single material created in Mixer on a flat plane. I could have gotten more out of this scene with some vegetation and an actual water geometry but I wanted to let the mix to speak for itself. Hopefully in the future, Mixer will output Specular so we can use Dubcat's Spec to IOR LUT which really helps most Megascans assets.

I am super new to 3d rendering so please feel free to share criticism.

Hmmmm logic wise, I think you should have downplayed your sand layer by quite a bit (should have replaced it with some larger rock textures). You don't really find all that much sand in tide pools, unless it's trapped within the tidepools themselves. (or atleast the ones I've seen).

Also would have gotten rid of the tiretrack addition, doesn't really make sense for anyone to be driving over tidepools to begin with (a quick way to ruin your tires, and destroy an ecosystem!)

Haha yeah all good points. I was trying to get as much as I could out of a single material for the sake of the Mixer challenge and forced diversity at the expense of logic. It did occur to me that whoever was driving here was very irresponsible. Also apparently it's a unicycle of some sort. :)

I think there's some potential here so I'll revisit this scene and focus on conditions that actually make sense. Thanks for the reply!
