I've been rendering regions from an image and no matter how big the region is, it takes the same amount of time to denoise (which is the same as when rendering the whole image). Is this expected behaviour? Shouldn't denoising scale with the region size?

I can confirm this. I think one case where this is logical is when there is background visible in the image. Corona will then know that it should not be denoised, and if you select some region of non-background, then it will probably denoise the whole frame not knowing what is behind the black area (these are just guesses though).
Anyway, this should be probably improved. I will prepare a report in our internal tracker.

Hi, we have a bug fix for this scheduled, but at the same time we are asking for a little patience, as we are dealing with a lots of reports right now and also preparing the v2 release.
