Hi,

I'm trying to see Peter Guthrie's hdri map in the viewport by loading it in Max bitmap and environment slot but can't adjust its exposure therefore all white out.

I can see it with Vray hdri map by lowering its multiplier, however get an error message when interactive rendering. Also, Vray hdri map doesn't cast shadow for some reason.

Max default bitmap both regular and IR renders fine but it's just veiwport issue. Please let me know any solution.

Hi,
in order to control exposure in viewport, just enable exposure control in enviroment and effects dialog and choos logarithmic from dropdown. You may need to adjust its parameters a little bit to fit to your HDRIs intensity, don't worry, it won't affect rendering in any way.

Thank you, romullus. That works, had to check Process Background and Environment maps and lower the Brightness way down to 1. BTW, is that how you would do to see your hdri in the viewport?
