I'm using a trial version of Phoenix and I have this problem when I launch a render of liquid with foam.
The foam is always completely black and I have an error window like the one attached.
I think Corona not support Particle shader.

Sorry for the delay. This is a known issue and we will fix it. Please keep in mind that PhoenixFD is not officially supported yet.
We are planning to support it (along with other plugins) in the upcoming version 2: https://trello.com/b/EfPE4kPx/corona-road-map-3ds-max

well I saw some smoke and flame sims so far :D but because the entire way phoenixFD works in corona, this bug report is obsolete. We will try to get work as much as possible, including foam, rigt away. There might be some new problems resurfacing when it is done, if you find any, please report them again in new thread, thanks ;)

thats why the section is actually named resolved bugs, not fixed bugs - it means we as developers do not need to track this specific issue anymore, because either it was fixed, it is not fixable or we decided not to fix it, or it became obsolete or duplicate. In this case, the report become obsolete as basically everything around phoenixfd-corona connection is changing now

It works, but with some limitations. Some of them will be fixed soon, and some of them do not have a time frame for fixing yet.
The initial list of limitations is here: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/12000040687
There may be some which are undiscovered yet.
We are planning to have "proper" Phoenix and other plugins support in version 2, with as few limitations as possible.

Just so I am clear. Is PheonixFD "working" in the 1.7 release builds? Or just the daily builds?

It's "working" in the v2 daily builds, and will be "working even better" in the v2 final.
In 1.7 you either should not get any results, or you can get some semi-correct ones, as some volume plugins do work (Fume FX I think) as a side effect of implementing 3ds Max volume effects. That's what Nekrobul used for that fancy burning Corona logo image, which was very popular some time ago.

Thanks a lot for the info. I can't wait for 2.0 to play. Sadly I can't install daily on my work machines. Keep up the good work!
